and another issue is with my automatic transmission, it seems to hesistate when not coming to a complete stop and then accelerating…seems as if there is a delay with the gears shifting.. how do I fix this?
A: Alright fist of all ford does not make good automatic transmissions(hate to say it) and you might need a new one, my suggestion is when you buy a ford get a manual. And as for the clicking noise it might be rubbing against the fender or something, or as my experience in fords it might be the power steering pump, every ford ive ever had has had sounds coming from the power steering pump when they get a couple of years old and it is really no big deal if thats the case it will just make sounds and nothing is wrong.

I found someone selling a dual exhaust from an 04 Mustang on Craigslist. We have an 05..Is this interchangeable?
A: No, they are not interchangeable. The 2004 mustang is a completely different body style than the 2005, and therefore are not interchangeable.

There’s no telling. Say you have three ’05’s you’re looking at right now. One is kept in a garage and maintained meticulously. One is driven normal. The last is driven into the ground.
Based on that, the values of the car are going to vary so wildly, that there’s no way at all to estimate what an average one will go for.
And seeing as you’re not buying the car right now anyway, what difference does it make? Wait until you’re in the market for the car, then look at the market and see for yourself.

A: wouldn’t you want to lower it more in the front to make it more aerodynamic so theres not as much wind pushing against the front and so you don’t lose gas mileage?

A: All that Pony Pakage stuff will fit just fine,but if you buy it from Ford it will cost a fortune.I would first check out Shelby,Roush and Saleen’s web sites they have alot of brand new take-off parts from the Mustangs they convert. And they sell the parts cheap just to get rid of them.If they don’t have it I would check with local junk yards for a wrecked Mustang.But the last thing I would do is buy any of it new from Ford.

i have a 4.6 L engine from a 05 ford mustang and i will like to drop it into my 86 4 cylinder mustang.if u know any 1 that is able to do it please write back .
A: Yes, but there will be a lot of modifications involving the motor mounts. A couple people have already put Cobra motors (03-04) in their foxes and had it work, but the modular motor is wider than the 5.0 that was in the 86 (yes I know yours was a 4). I don’t know anyone personally that has done it, but check out the Corral.net for some ideas. Hit up the tech sections for the 5.0 and the 2005+ and ask the same question.

A: no chance. the body styles are completely different. just look at your car from the front and look at the bumper. the 99 mustang is just too small to fit the 05 bumper. sorry. depending on how much the person is selling you the bumper for, you may be able to just buy an aftermarket bumper for the same price.

Pypes axle back muffler deletes (straight pipe) . Will this harm my engine in any way ?

A: Yes it will…. your exhaust system needs to create enough back pressure for your engine or you will burn valves and pistons. I had an idiot friend who ran straight pipes on his 2001 Mustang and 6 months later he needed new heads…. I have been working on cars for 29 years now…. trust me or you will be paying for a new engine….

A: As Jim said, a ground problem is causing a short. But to narrow down the culprit, look at areas where rain water will get in, like the hood area where the main ground is typically bolted to the inside fender lip. Check your weather stripping and fix it, otherwise this problem will continue to occur.
Q: Is it a good idea to replace the Mustang 05 factory stereo?
I have a Mustang 05 and it has the factory Shaker 500 sound system, I want to replace it with a new CD player just because I need an AUX input to connect my Zune.
Do you guys thinks this single reason is worth it?
