Q: Does a 2006 Ford Mustang need a brake and transmission flush?
The dealer recommended a brake fluid flush and transmission flush when I took my 2006 mustang in for service. The car has 63000 miles.
I did not notice either of these listed in the scheduled maintenance guide by Ford. I have never before had either of these.
A: You should change transmission fluid every 25-30k miles, by not doing so already, you probibly voided your warranty, so lesson be learned, 25-30k miles as specified by the manufacturer.
Brak fluid is kinda trivial, brake fluid doesnt fail, but fresh fluid keeps the inner seal of your calipers etc in good shape and prevents oxidation of the inside of them as well, which ultimately promotes a longer life of those parts.
Over time brake fluid absobs water which enters through the resevoir as moisture in the air, if it becomes saturated by absorbing water, you will have excess water in the system and the brakes may get soft, paricularly when braking hard and the fluid is heated inside the caliper, this does create a need ot replace brake fluid as it gets old, in your case, it isnt very old, but its nearing its time for replacement, i woudl just replace it, youll have a super stiff brake pedal after you do.
Q: How can I make my car (2006 ford mustang) a little faster?
I just bought a 2006 ford mustang v6 with pony package and I am wondering what are some upgrades I could do to gain a few more HP. I’m not talking about adding a supercharger! My budget right now is about $1,000 MAX. All I have done right now to it is add a throttle body spacer.
A: switch the rear gears to 3.73, that will make it feel much quicker off the line. The downside is it will raise the rpm’s, so going 65 on the highway you will be at around 2500 rpm’s or so. It lowers your fuel economy a bit.
Switching to dual exhaust like flowmasters will add a little bit of power, and will certainly make it look and sound better.
Finally, get a diablosport predator tuner and reflash your car’s computer. I did this on my V6 Mustang and it does feel quicker now. It didn’t hurt the fuel economy, either.
Q: What is the best brand of cold or ram air intake for 2006 ford mustang v6 4.0L please tell me the 1 u like to.?
I was looking for a cold or ram air intake for my 2006 Ford Mustang V6 4.0L. Which could increase the hp and also help it to sound better?
A: Home depot . 3.5 inch pvc pipe, K@N filter, and silver paint. It will be louder than anything costing 10X as much. Don’t expect HP gains from intake on an N/A car, any of them. Maybe 1-2.
Q: Which kind of muffler would sound great on 2006 ford mustang v6?
on my 2006 mustang v6, 4.0L single flowmaster 40 series delta flow would sound loud and nice or not. If not then what other kind of muffler would be better.
A: If you want to make noise, then the flowmaster will do. But know this, none of those aftermarket mufflers do anything but make noise. Try making mods that will improve mpg’s.
Q: How can you make a 2006 Ford Mustang rumble and sound tough?
I just got a 2006 Ford Mustang for my graduation present. The problem is, is that it is automatic. Can I make it sound tough maybe with a dual exhaust or something even though it’s automatic? What other parts could I use?
The mustang is a V6/ 5.1L
Could I put this exhaust system on it?

A: No matter what you do with it, a domestic V6 is always going to sound as bad as a swarm of Imports with trash can exhausts. Don’t do it.
Q: How to park a 2006 ford mustang?
I recently purchased a 2006 ford mustang which I noticed is a lot wider and higher then the 2004 model. I’m having a problem parking
ADVICE PLEASE
A: Keep practicing.
I’m 15 and I’m currently learning how to drive in a 2004 Chevy Avalanche. I just mastered parking between the lines. Just go into an empty parking lot and keep parking. That’s what I did. My dad got out of the truck a few times and made me do it by myself without him helping.
Q: what is the difference between a 2005 and 2006 ford mustang?
I’m trying to decide which one to buy and I want the 2006 if it’s different than the 2005. Obviously it is, but I want to decide if the difference is good enough to buy a more expensive car . . if that made any sense at all. Thanks for the help!
A: yes it makes good sense,i own a shop, and id go for then newer body style,06 was when they made the slight change and they have the look of an old 67 mustang in the rear and front of them now,and they look a lot better, there was some other changes they made also, but i would go for the 06 model,i think they look really good, any color on them makes them look really good also, but that would be my choice if i was having to choose one, good luck i hope this helps.
Q: How much did the 2006 Ford Mustang GT cost when it 1st came out?
Its not a convertable…. Its a 2006 Red Ford Mustang GT Deluxe
A: You could get a 2006 GT Deluxe for around 24K (sticker price) with no options (the clock radio and cloth interior). The GT Premium was about 28K (leather, shaker system and a few other items).
Q: 2006 Ford mustang, when do repair problems start?
I have a 06 mustang v6 and warranty until 36K miles. I was wondering when mustangs start to have problems so i can have an idea when to sell it. I also heard that the mustang is ford’s best car but debatable
A: Usually the first problem you notice is the nut behind the steering wheel.
Wow I’ve waited 30 years to use that joke.
Q: how much would lambo doors cost for a 2006 Ford Mustang?
im interested in getting a 2006 ford mustang. its also convertible. i wanted to get lambo doors and i didnt know how much it would cost?
thx
A: Depending on what kind your trying to get have vertical doors and you have 90 degree. one goes up halfway the other goes up a full 90 degree. they have universal kits that range in the 399 to maybe 599. exact fit is usually the highest. its pretty easy to install these kits. most people charge any where from 300 to as high as $1000 if you buy the parts. the key is to weld them on wants they or installed. if you only use bolts after 6 months of constantly open and closing the doors they seem to shift and the doors hit the hinge and you pretty much understand they you will have problems closing your door. if this is a weekend car just bolt them on. if you drive this vehicle everyday you can bolt them on just don’t extend them out every time you stop. they have a 1000 different stores that sales them on ebay just type in Vertical doors or lambo and you see different prices for universal kits and exact fits.

Q: 2006 Ford Mustang or a 2011 Edge Sport?
I have a 2006 Mustang that I am thinking of trading in for a 2011 Ford Edge Sport. Would you keep your Mustang or go for the new Edge Sport. I am confused. I know Mustangs are legends but I love the look of the Edge… Just asking for your opinion if you don’t mind…
Thank you!
A: Come on? I am a fellow 06 owner(gt). You cannot trade a mustang for an edge, no way.
Mustangs are legends and should never be swayed by a trade for an edge, but rather another mustang.
Q: How much might it cost to paint a 2006 Ford Mustang dark metallic grey with 2 white or black stripes on top?
The stripes would go from the rear spoiler, over the top to the front of the hood, and they would be about 12 inches across each. The paint would be a dark metallic grey.
A: Count your money first, if you do not have at least $4000 forget it.
Q: How do I install a headlight on a 2006 Ford Mustang?
The one I am replacing came out easy because it was cracked in several places. It is one solid piece and I can’t get the new one to fit. Do I have to take the grill out?
A: On a 2006 Mustang there are no clips on the backside of the headlamp assembly. In order to remove/install the headlamp assembly you have to remove the front bumper cover first by removing the 6 pin-type retainers on the radiator sight shield (that black thing on the top). Then remove the 2 upper front bumper cover bolts. Remove the 6 screws connecting the front bumper cover to the fender splash shields. (If you have a valance panel you will need to remove those 6 screws as well.) Position the splash shields aside and remove the 4 other bumper cover nuts on the reinforment supports. Disconnect all lamp electrical connectors and you have just removed the front bumper cover. Once that nightmare is over. You can now remove the pushpin and bolt on the top of the headlamp assembly as well as the two bolts below the headlamp assembly. Reverse the procedure to install the new one. Hope this helps. Have a great day!
Q: How much would it cost to repaint a 2006 Ford Mustang?
looking at a new car that i love but i’m not so sure about the color and am considering changing it. Approximately how much would it cost?
A: extra $1,000 just to change colors on top of 3 or $4,000 for the paint job.
