Q: 2006 Mustang GT Head Lamps and Fog Lamps, What are the brightest whitest bulbs?
I have a 2006 Mustang GT and I’m looking to replace the headlamps with different bulbs. My question is what are the brightest and whitest bulbs available without upgrading to HIDs? I have the stock bulbs in and they aren’t all that great (obviously). So, any information would be appreciated, and if possible a link to where I can buy them online? Thanks in advance.
Thanks, but I’m specifically looking to not upgrade to HIDs.
A: Sylvania SilverStars. Head to your local Autozone and ask them what model should fit your car. They are excellent and provide brighter, whiter, light. I was very satisfied with mine in my 99 GT. They also have special lights for your fog light bulbs as well.
Q: How to get replacement monroney sticker for 2006 mustang gt?
Just want to get a duplicate of the original window sticker(monroney sticker) for my 2006 mustang gt. Have had no luck wiith dealer or ford customer service.Any help would be greatly appreciated.
A: if you can’t get it from Ford I would say your probably not gonna find one
Q: How many miles is too many for a used 2006 mustang?
I am looking to buy a 2006 Mustang with manual transmission and I was wondering if 74,000 miles is too much for this to be a good deal?
A: Thats alot of miles. Depends on whether or not they were highway or city miles, and how well maintained it was.
Q: Does a 2006 Ford Mustang need a brake and transmission flush?
The dealer recommended a brake fluid flush and transmission flush when I took my 2006 mustang in for service. The car has 63000 miles.
I did not notice either of these listed in the scheduled maintenance guide by Ford. I have never before had either of these.
A: You should change transmission fluid every 25-30k miles, by not doing so already, you probibly voided your warranty, so lesson be learned, 25-30k miles as specified by the manufacturer.
Brak fluid is kinda trivial, brake fluid doesnt fail, but fresh fluid keeps the inner seal of your calipers etc in good shape and prevents oxidation of the inside of them as well, which ultimately promotes a longer life of those parts.
Over time brake fluid absobs water which enters through the resevoir as moisture in the air, if it becomes saturated by absorbing water, you will have excess water in the system and the brakes may get soft, paricularly when braking hard and the fluid is heated inside the caliper, this does create a need ot replace brake fluid as it gets old, in your case, it isnt very old, but its nearing its time for replacement, i woudl just replace it, youll have a super stiff brake pedal after you do.
Q: How much will a 2006 mustang cost in 2009?
I want to know how much a 2006 mustang convertible will cost in 2009 that is still in good condition
A: A convertible and coupe are two different catergories not to mention if you want a 6 or 8 cylinder.
Q: Does a new 2006 Mustang convertible for $27000 sound like a good deal?
A dealership in the area has a 2006 Mustang GT convertible that was never sold. It’s yellow with black leather interior (inc. interior upgrade package) and is automatic. I was going to offer $24000-$25000, but $27000 is already significantly below the KBB value. I’m a little put off by the yellow since that seems like a girly color, but I was thinking of getting black Bullitts to make it more aggressive. Any thoughts?
A: I would make an offer. KBB is only a guide for car values, they do not buy or sell cars. If the dealer wants to make the car go away they will look at any offer.
I would add black over the top racing stripes or a nice black stripe down the side like the Boss Mustangs had back in the day. Yellow GT is not a girl color.
Is the car at Licardi Ford in Watchung NJ ? Is the M.S.R.P. $34205.00?
Q: how to get stains out of tan seats on a 2006 mustang convertible?
i have a 2006 mustang convertible, and it has a lot of stains, *(and stains from trying to remove the stains). the seats are tan so they show dirt and stains easily. does anyone have any suggestions on what i can use to help theses stains?
A: You have to scrub them down good with some strong detergent and hot water. Not just the spots, the whole seat. Then soak them up as much as possible and let them dry thoroughly. If that doesn’t work, you may need to get them professionally cleaned.
Q: Which kind of muffler would sound great on 2006 ford mustang v6?
on my 2006 mustang v6, 4.0L single flowmaster 40 series delta flow would sound loud and nice or not. If not then what other kind of muffler would be better.
A: If you want to make noise, then the flowmaster will do. But know this, none of those aftermarket mufflers do anything but make noise. Try making mods that will improve mpg’s.
Q: Will a 2006 mustang automatic v6 be okay in snow?
I live in Indiana so I get snow not to bad but we do get some. I am now looking at a 2006 mustang and need it for a daily driver. I’ve heard automatics and v6 are better for mustangs in snow. I know mustangs aren’t going to be the best car in snow period, but I’m just gonna need it to get me there. Also, what can I do to make it better if i need to?
A: Along with the couple of sand bags over the rear axle, purchase 4 snow/winter tires. Keep a bag of kitty litter in the back too. If you get stuck, you can add some kitty litter in front of the rear tires for traction. Best of luck.
Q: Does anyone have a guess of what the 0-60 on a 2006 Mustang GT with twin turbos would be?
Does anyone have a guess of what the 0-60 on a 2006 Mustang with twin turbos would be?
I have a 2006 Ford Mustang GT and I want to add twin turbos to it. How much faster would this make it?
A: I hope you have money. Your going to need to build the bottom end of the motor to run twin turbos.
Turbo tech has improved quite a bit recently. Much better than supercharger tech. While a roots supercharger is still better on the street (power pretty much from idle but maxes out sooner), a turbo puts less drag on a motor. Personally, I’d run a turbo over a centrifugal supercharger since both produce boost later in the rpm range and a turbo will make more power per pound of boost between the two. But if your car is a daily driven street/strip ride, think about a roots or twin screw supercharger. I think you will be happier. And unless its a race car, a single turbo will more than suffice.
Q: My son has rims and tires he needs to sell that he took off of his 2006 mustang GT where do we start?
He purchased the brand new 2006 Mustang GT and is transforming it into a Rousch. he took the brand new tires and rims off and replace them with tires and rims he wanted. he has tried to sell these on Ebay. He had a few people wanting them but the rims do not fit The bolt pattern is the problem. What do we need to do to get someone to buy these brand new tires and rims. They have only been on the ground from the dealer to home once. Help
A: I like craigslist.com you can find and sell lots of items here
Q: Location of the fuel rail pressure sensor on mustang 2006 v6?
I have a mustang 2006 v6 and I want to know where is the fuel rail pressure sensor, I think it is clogged.
A: On fuel injector rail.
Q: What is a good supercharger for a 2006 v6 mustang?
i own a 2006 v6 mustang with K&N cold air intake and magnaflow single exhaust (if it matters). i wanna know a good supercharger or procharger that i could buy for it. Please leave a suggesion on good ones. thank you.
if you think a turbo charger or twin turbo would be better, please specify a brand and a site… thanks
A: Generally for bigger blocks, lower boost applications a supercharger always makes the most sense.
Installation is easier, and cheaper, overall unit is lighter (no plumbing or piping) & when the system is engaged – at boost, less heat.
Turbos are great for high boost applications, or where engine compartment space is really tight.
You have some good options….which ON STOCK INTERNALS will take you up plus 320rwHP
-procharger
-vortech
you can find these installations at http://www.lethalperformance.com/
shelby has a paxton which they are marketing in their cs-6 package, you can get an overview of it here
http://www.shelbyautos.com/cs6.asp
and perhaps the best is the the steeda – xcharger unit.
http://steeda.com/products/xcharger_supercharger_v6.php
this runs a roots style blower-very dependable and early/very linear boost pattern – also if you enhance your engine (heads/bottom end) its easy to up the boost cheaply with simple installation of a smaller pulley.
For all of these applications you should consider installation of performance headers, and of course you will need to have the shop run a pro tune (SCT or predator chip). Not sure what level of octane you will end up at – for sure will have to be high octane to deal with heat at boost.
anything else write me direct if you want
cheers, 04 cobra (whipple blower 15lbs boost)

Q: How much can i sell my a crazy 2006 mustang Gt for?
My boss is making me find out how much his mustang can sell for.
Were saying at least 100k.
Its pushing about 1032 hp, four dual exhausts. two on the side, two in the back. Its extremely loud, sets off alarms like crazy. Oh, when u rev it long enough it pops a wheely. stick shift.
A: More information is needed. What engine does it have? Because it’s not the stock block If you’re pushing over 1000 HP. What transmission? Who did the work?
I’m calling BS on this until some more proof is posted. I’ve never seen a 2006 Mustang worth over 100k outside of an NHRA event.
Edit: The car in the link has a GM engine and GM transmission. I would be embarassed to have to explain to someone that I have a GM engine in my Ford car.
Q: Best way to increase 2006 mustang GT acceleration?
what parts do I need to increase my 2006 mustang GT acceleration and overall HP?
A: Anytime someone asks me what is the best way to get HP out of my car? I always ask them right back, how much money do you have for this project?
If cost is no option and you want THE BEST and EASIEST way to get all the ponies out of your pony then you should supercharge it. A fantastic kit that you should consider would be the Roush R2300 kit:
http://www.americanmuscle.com/roush-r2300-supercharger-0509.html
If you are just starting out and want to start a little smaller then you would want to get three things:
1.) a handheld tuning device to control the A/F coming into the engine and all other engine operating perimeters. This will remove the restrictive factory tune and allow you to run a tune for the Octane fuel you want to use on the vehicle. I would suggest the SCT SF3 Tuner:
http://www.americanmuscle.com/sct-x3-powerflash-tuner.html
2.) a free flowing Cold Air intake. This will allow your engine to breath more easily and create more usable hp making your car perform better. I suggest something like the C&L Racer Kit:
http://www.americanmuscle.com/c-l-cai-0509gt.html
—We sell them(1+2) together here:
http://www.americanmuscle.com/cnl-sct-0509gt-kit.html
3.) a free flowing exhaust system. This means Longtube headers, a Short mid-pipe and a straight through muffler. Longtubes are expensive, but to achieve maximum performance on these motors, they are necessary. For a less expensive route, you could just replace your mufflers and use the rest of the factory exhaust system.
–Longtubes:
—-BBK: Ceramic Coated Longtube Headers Part # 56038
—-SLP: Ceramic Coated Longtube Headers Part # 23018
—-Pypes: 304 Stainless Steel Longtube Headers Part # 20100
—-Doug’s: Ceramic Longtube Headers part # 23117
—-JBA: Cat4ward Longtube Headers Part # 23109
–Midpipes for Longtubes
(H pipe will be deep baritone sound, X pipe will be free’er flowing, but higher pitched/raspier)
—-BBK(cats{more expensive}): Shorty Catted “X” pipe Part # 56043
—-SLP(cats): Shorty Catted “X” pipe Part # 23019
—-JBA(cats): Catted Shorty “H” pipe Part # 23111
(these midpipes all have catalytic converters for emissions purposes and are more expensive than non-catted midpipes
–Mufflers
(for best performance I recommend a straight through style muffler, these are my recommendations)
—-Borla: “S” type Axle back Part # 29001
—-SLP: Powerflo muffler Part # 23031
———-: Louthmouth Straight pipes(no muffler-straight pipe) Part # 23013
—-Bassani: Bassani Axle Back Part # 31104 –THESE SOUND GREAT!
