A: Obviously a JL battery. Sorry, but you’re battery should never die due to your audio system, no matter what battery you have. The battery is only there to help start the car. Unless you sit there with the engine OFF and the radio ON, then all the power is drawn directly from the battery only and it will drain it no matter what brand you have. That is why, when you have a big audio system you always leave the engine running when listening to the stereo.
You need an alternator to support the audio system, not the battery. Usually the bigger the engine and the more electrical features in the car, the automakers will beef up the alternators, especially on newer cars since everyone is plugging in all there tech toys now days.
Q: What kind of exhaust upgrade for 09 Mustang?
I have an 09 GT and I would like to upgrade my exhaust pipes. Problem is, I have no idea what my options are and which would be the best for gaining HP and sounding louder and meaner (no price restrictions). There seem to be many different styles of exhaust pipe out there and I’m a n00b when it comes to cars. Also, does such an upgrade normally void a warranty?
A: None. The GT is tuned for maximum HP and fuel MPG as is. If you just want more sound then there are about a hundred different brands of muffler that will work. It likely won’t void the warranty but even if you install a $900 cat-back system you won’t see ANY improvement or hp gain under 4,500 rpm, so why bother?

I want a better sound system for my stock 2009 convertible mustang. The stock sound system is crap.

Q: Where can I get an interior handle plate for an 09 mustang?
I’m not sure what exactly the part is called but the plate behind the interior driver’s side door handle came off and the top clip broke. I don’t really have any idea how to find one. I already searched parts on ebay and couldn’t find this plate. Anybody know what it’s called or how I could get a hold of one?

re rims, yes traditionally mustangs (and most all cars for that matter) have used rims that were little small for the wheels wells….in terms of appearance mustangs do look better dropped (eibach springs or equivalent) and running on 19″ (some prefer 20″) rims with narrow profile tires.

There’s no telling. Say you have three ’05’s you’re looking at right now. One is kept in a garage and maintained meticulously. One is driven normal. The last is driven into the ground.
Based on that, the values of the car are going to vary so wildly, that there’s no way at all to estimate what an average one will go for.
And seeing as you’re not buying the car right now anyway, what difference does it make? Wait until you’re in the market for the car, then look at the market and see for yourself.
