Q: Is getting my 11 year old daughter a new Ford Mustang a good Christmas gift for this year?

A: can u adopt me? i will do anything u want me to do. lol

Q: What’s this Ford Mustang Giugiaro Concept?
When is going to come out or is it already out?
http://www.autoclub.com.au/2006/11/ford-mustang-giugiaro-concept.html

http://www.autoclub.com.au/uploaded_images/ford-mustang-giugiaro-concept-779126.jpg

A: if this car comes out, i will kill myself and every person that i see driving it. its a disgrace to see an american icon get messed up by an italian. there is no mustang history on it!!!! its supposed to be an american car, not a lamborstang. i cry every time i look at it…..

Q: Should I try to sell my 2004 Ford Mustang or should I let the leasing company take it back?
I leased a 2004 Ford Mustang and it is time to give it back to the leasing company or I could buy it from them. The online Kelly Blue Book estimator said it is worth $11,650 if I try to sell it to a private party and it estimates a Trade-in Value of $10,075. The payoff with the leasing company is about $9,800.

I know those numbers are just estimates, but I’m asking what I can reasonably expect to get for the car if I try to sell it privately here in Dallas, Texas. If I can sell it for $11,650 in a few weeks I would like to do that. If I would only get $10,075 it’s not worth the effort to me and I would rather just give it back to them.
Cowboy Bill:

What makes you think the lease has given me misery?

Yes, I’m miserable that I spent much less per month that if I had bought the car. I just hate having that extra money in my account. Maybe if I take my money to the dealer the salesman will take it off my hands and I will be much less “miserable”.

Bill, are you are car salesman? Is that why you want me to BUY a car? If I wanted to BUY that Mustang I can do it today. Instead I’d rather rent another new car because I’d rather have a new car for less money than and old car for more money.

Leasing is the best of both worlds. If I want to buy at the end of the lease I can buy it. If I want to get something new I can get something new and I don’t have to haggle with buyers or take a loss on trade-in.

A: We would need a little more info about your car as Ford made several models of the Mustang. There are the GT’s the Mach’s the Conv. etc. As well as many options that will change the value of your car. That being said remember that the “residual” value of any lease is what the bank thinks the car will be worth when you turn it back in. In my opinion $9800 seems like an average price but nothing to consider a good “investment”. The market has slowed on these cars and keep in mind that it isn’t going to gain value as it sits in your yard for sale but rather lose value. Not to mention you will have to keep it insured untill it sells. If you love your car keep it. If you are trying to make a little money on the side try a cheaper car that is good on gas they are selling for above book value right now. Hope this helps.

Q: Will my 1998 Ford Mustang make it across the country?
My mustang is in good condition, as far as I know. It has never given me any type of problem. It is 11 years old though and I do not know how much longer it will last. I have always kept up on maintenance- oil changes, tires, air filters, etc. I am moving from the East coast to the West coast and I am wondering if it will make it and if it will last me a while after I get there.

A: If you have taken care of it and it has never given you problems, I see no reason why the car would not make it. Keep maintaining it and you can drive it for many many years.

Consider taking it to a mechanic for a pre-trip inspection. They can tell you if they find anything wrong or that needs immediate servicing. Might be worth $75 or so to have some peace of mind before you hit the interstates.

Q: Is This A GOOD DEAL? A FORD MUSTANG 2003 4000miles for 11500?
Used Red Ford Mustang 2003 from a dealership, 40,000 Miles, for $11,500. It used to be a rental car, i did a carfax and the car came out clean..
The Car looks new and doesnt have a dent. The dealership, did all the transmition work, oil change, and installed new brake disks. Ive driven it and it feels ok.

A: Check out Kelly Blue Book and NADA used car prices, both are available on line

Q: 1965 ford mustang-engine dies when turning right?
I’m not afraid to admit, This one confuses me and I’ve been an auto tech over 11 years. My friend has a 1965 ford mustang with 289ci engine, nothing stock about it though, Edelbrock intake and carb, aftermarket exhaust, Elec ignition etc etc ,all that stuff- I havint been out to look at it yet but he says that when he turns right the engine stalls. Happens 9 times out of ten. …….. …. Vacuum?? ……..Pinched fuel line?? ….. Yea I’ll admit, I’m stumped.

A: Well my experience says to do this, wiggle the wiring harness to the dist. from the firewall and also install a ground wire to the motor from the frame AND battery, Also this may seem strange but check the oil level haven’t seen it but have heard of this. Also what about the carburetor float setting, if set to low would cause it to run out of fuel while turning.

Q: 2005 ford mustang wheel caps?
recently my wheel caps were stolen off my mustang
they look like this

http://www.ford-parts-direct.com/productDetail.cfm?productID=1424&categoryID=22&productTypeID=11

i was wondering how easy they are to put back on if i bought more? do they pop in?

A: yes, pop in, i have had my foose centre caps stolen few times, now keep “spares”….i am also using a little silicone when i re-install them- makes them harder to get out.

cheers 04 cobra

Q: Is This A GOOD DEAL? A FORD MUSTANG 2003 6cyldr 4000miles for 11500?
Used Red Ford Mustang 2003 from a dealership, 40,000 Miles, for $11,500. It used to be a rental car, i did a carfax and the car came out clean..
The Car looks new and doesnt have a dent. The dealership, did all the transmition work, oil change, and installed new brake disks. Ive driven it and it feels ok.

A: write them a check for $10,500 and be preapred to walk away, you will know then if it is a good deal

Q: A 1989 Mustang with Ford’s “25th Anniversary” badge on dash. Has 11k miles. How much to ask for it?
Ford told me they sold only 11,000 of these vehicles with the special “25th Anniversary” logo on the dash. These cars were recalled for excessive clear coat fracturing from acid rain. My car has not been in rain since being returned to me from Ford recall. It has been in garage covered ever since I parked it after driving it for the first 11k miles. How much should I ask to sell it???
Ford Mustang GT

A: what model, LX, GT, 3 door or convertible? v8? how many miles? have proof? they only have the 6 digit, so don’t show the true mileage.. car fax? these are all things to thing about when selling or buying a old Ford..

I would start high and you can always come down, try $10k, it’s going to take a while, if your in a hurry just list it on ebay and set the reserve at the least you will take for it, maybe $5k and hope for the best..

Q: I was wondering if a 32 valve heads possible on 5.0 HO 302cid EFI taken of a 1992 ford mustang?
this engine is gonna go on a 87 Thunderbird with t56 tranny 4,11:1 ratio in rear differential and tranny
so i was wondering if any one knows if they make a 32 valve heads for 302 HO
I choose A 302 block to converted in the stroker 347 there is a scat kit available with a dome pistons

A: No, the 32valve head fit the modular engines only. all modular engines are either single or double overhead cam. The 302(90 degree engine family) engines are push rod engines. these two family of engines do not share bore, bore spacing or bolt locations. There where some 4-valve per cly heads made for racing by eagle and cosworth.

Q: Can the racing stripes be removed from Ford Mustang?
I found a really good deal (under $12,000) on a 07′ Ford Mustang in black with low miles (under 11,000) and really good shape. However, it has those ugly white Dukes of Hazard looking stripes on it – just messing it’s black beauty! I heard you can purchase those separately, so this makes me wonder if these stripes can be removed without ruining the paint job. If not, then what other options do I have? Thanks so much!
I decided I like the stripes. Thanks for everyones input.

A: there are risks involved. like a couple have mentioned you can get whats called an eraser wheel that you chuck into a drill and slowly peel them off, or like another suggested you can take a heat gun and a plastic spatula or applicator. you will have to finish by wiping down with a 3m product called adhesive remover, it’s a solvent that is strong enough to get the adhesive off, but not strong enough to mess up the paint. but there are problems involved, if your paint has faded, guess what it won’t be as faded where the stripes where, and that’s a permanent condition, you will have “ghost stripes”. if the car has had any paint work done to it, these stripes are a favorite place to conceal a repair line, which is fine until you remove the stripe, then you have a big paint line you can do nothing with but repaint. and don’t trust that it hasn’t had work done, even if you know the history of the car from the showroom floor, i know of alot of cars that have repair work before they leave the showroom. this is something you could do, but one slip and you’ve got trouble, i would suggest a body shop, you might get a better answer from them as to whether this is something to try on this particular car or not. if it is a factory paint job that has not been repaired, you should be able to have it done safely, the new paints do not have much problem with fading, and black is probably the best at not fading. good luck

Q: a 2005 ford mustang for 15 dollars? is it real?
ok here are the facts someone is selling mystery envelopes in one of those envelopes as a gift is a 2005 ford mustang

the seller has title and pictures of vehicle
ebay says it’;s real but to remmeber that the chances of getting the car are 5000 to 1 which are not bad odds if you gamble on a slot machine your chances of winning big are like 100000 to 1

so my question has sorta been answered just want to hear peoples opinions

the car is real the auction is real
has been confirmed
so i plan on buying

but still want your opinions
here is the link

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300105835474&ssPageName=ADME:B:EF:US:11

A: ok this is funny
i will tell you this it is true how do i know because i’m the seller
this is the way it works i am selling E-envelopes in one of those envelopes is as a gift the mustang it is my personal vehicle

and i will give it away to one person whoever buys the envelope

it is not illegal because as stated in the auction i am not selling the vehicle on ebay i am only selling envelopes
but as a free gift not prize not encentive only as my gift to one person will they get the vehicle yes i will make money on this deal but the person who recieves the gift will have a new mustang for only 15 dollars i’ve read some of the other answers how will i ship it or its a toy the picture of the car is on the auction

some people say it’s a scam look at my feedbak i have only gotten one negative feedback in 6 years of being an ebay member
and that was because my son bid on something without me knowing and i tried to cancel the bid but the seller wouldn’t let me and left negative feedback that was like 2 years ago

other than that i have always gotten positive feedback.

this is real but of course you should be comfortable buying a mystery envelope

so if your not 100 percent sure don’t buy

Q: Is This A GOOD DEAL? A FORD MUSTANG 2003 6cyldr 4000miles, automatic trans, for 11500?
Used Red Ford Mustang 2003 from a dealership, 40,000 Miles, for $11,500. It used to be a rental car, i did a carfax and the car came out clean..
The Car looks new and doesnt have a dent. The dealership, did all the transmition work, oil change, and installed new brake disks. Ive driven it and it feels ok.

A: as long as they are honest with you, I bought one in 90 and it had a bad motor, they only thing that saved me was transferring the warrenty

Q: 1965 Ford Mustang vin# history search?
I am trying to find out the history of my 1965 Ford Mustang – is there a way to search this out by Vin #. Carfax etc indicate the vin # is too short at 11 digits. Any ideas?

A: carfax doesnt go back that far. You need to look up “Marti report” and get it there. That is the ONLY site that will have your stangs history.

Q: Looking for FORD MUSTANG- 1999 & UP?
Do you know of anywhere I can find a FORD MUSTANG, automatic transmission, from years 1999 and up?

I’d prefer if it was 150,000km or less on it, but doesn’t matter.

Since this is my first car I’m looking to spend $11,000 or less.

(I live in Ont, Canada so ads from there are prefered).

If you could help that would be amazing,
Thanks~!

A: local ads, craigslist, ebay.. they are all over the place. If there are Mustang shows in your area, look there; some people have for sale signs in their show cars.

A great and must read article: 2011 ford mustang for sale

Q: Why do almost all car magazines choose the ‘11 Mustang over the Camaro? Is it really the better pony car?
Explain. I plan on getting one of the V8s, but not for a couple years…till I can actually afford it (maybe)

A: They are both great, but the Mustang wins mainly for a couple of reasons:

1 – weight. The Mustang is much lighter than the Camaro, which is why the GT is faster than the SS despite the Camaro having a much larger and somewhat more powerful engine. More importantly than the speed though is the handling, the lighter Mustang handles much better

2 – day to day livability. The Camaro pays for it’s cool styling by being difficult to see out of compared to the Mustang, and that gets old over time. The headroom is poor too if you’re over 6 feet tall.

All that said, when you get to the point of looking at them, you should certainly test both.

Q: What is the best mustang as far as years go. That you could get for 11 thousand dollars and run real good?
What do you guys think? And also if it goes to far back and i dont like the model.. Does anyone know another real nice car i could get for the same price?

A: Keeping in mind that even the famous 5.0 V8 from the late 1980’s made only 225hp, and today’s base V6 makes 210hp (the 2011 V6 will leap past 300 with the GT offering more than 400hp), you are going to be best-served by looking for an well-maintained GT from 2005 or newer (the latest body style) as that will help to ensure finding one that runs well and is reasonably reliable. You can even choose to buy a Ford Extended Warranty if you choose.

It’s important to remember that the Mustang, for the past 20 years, hasn’t been a terribly powerful or fast car, especially the non-GT’s; and until 2011, they’ve pretty-much used the same basic hunk of cast iron under the hood. While the recent 300hp GT’s are a lot of fun to drive, especially those with a 3.55 axle, for the most part, the faster Mustangs have generally been those that have been customized or modified to add performance.

The best part about Mustang has rarely been its inherent power… it’s bang for the buck. And while all of that changes for 2011 when even a brand new $20K Mustang will have 300 ponies of kick, the recent GT’s (2005 and newer) have been the best so far. Especially if you like the current body style, the best choice would be to look for the best 2005 GT you can find with the least miles and the best care.

Best of luck. I hope this helps.

Q: how do i make an 11 second mustang and 500hp v6?
ok so heres the deal, im looking to buy a used car, prlly a 00-04 mustang
what would be the best and cheapest way to make it an 11 second car? all though i know it wont be cheap lol

im trying to find a v8 with a supercharger already on it, and mayb throw some nitrous express on top of that??? i just dont know what kind of mods i need to make to the car so it doesnt go BOOM on me and blow up haha

ALSO! i found a 2002 mustang gt, the guy says it has a procharger and intercooler already on it pushing 480 horsepower and 60lb injectors that will make it over 500 hp…AND HE SAYS ITS A V6?
is he just telling me crap cuz i didnt know they made “gt’s” that are v6s

THANK!!!!!
cody

A: power is NOT cheap. Easiest way to your targets – is to purchase an 03 or 04 cobra.
They came stock – supercharged and running at approx 400hp.

because the engine which was 4 valve per cylinder was hand built with forged bottom end and race heads, oversize brakes a race ready 6sp transmission they can on stock internals be taken up well over 500hp by swapping in a higher boost supercharger or porting the existing blower and swapping in bigger engine pulley, smaller blower pulley.
you would still need custom tune by a pro-shop, better exhaust, high performance clutch (centerforce DFX or mcleod), better intake and intercooler.

03-04 cobras are presently selling in the 19,000 to 26,000 range and the modifications would require a further $4000-9000 depending o whether you installed a new blower or modified existing blower.

to get a 00-04 GT up over 500 hp is a serious big job because the engine is short on valves (only 2v per cylinder) and the internals (rods, crank, bearings, pistons) are not forged plus top end is weak.
the MAXIMUM this profile GT can be taken up to (whether by supercharger or nitrous or any combination thereof) is about 380 hp WITHOUT doing work on the inside of the engine….remember stock these only produced about 260 at the crank and about 235-240HP at the wheels

so you are either looking at swapping in a performance crate engine (plus $10,000) or full rebuilt of the GT engine including stroker kit, port, polish, race heads, cams, injectors and all new equipment (intake, exhaust, headers, fuel pump….clutch and transmission…plus of course high boost supercharger or turbo-if you are using a pro-shop for all of this I estimate you are in the range of $12,000 to 15,000 for this build.

here is an example of a cobra on its factory internals with a high boost supercharger can run

http://www.dragtimes.com/Ford-Mustang-Timeslip-17330.html

to make extreme power and hit the 500 number is not cheap to build and its not cheap to maintain…..so if you do not have a budget that works, forget it – cheap installation either never perform properly or more likely result in engine failure.

cheers04 cobra, 2.3 whipple blower at 15p.s.i, fully streetable, measured on dyno at 575rwHP

Q: What 11″ Brake Rotor to use on Mustang II Spindle?
Needs to have 5 on 4.5″ bolt pattern (ford) Need to know if any special bearings need to be used. I am using Large GM Brake calipers. Speedway sells a kit but it makes the front end 2″s wider and I don’t have the room.

A: Check with your local Auto-Parts supplier for parts from a Ford Granada, should work fine.

Q: Is getting my 11 year old daughter a new Ford Mustang a good Christmas gift for this year?

A: can u adopt me? i will do anything u want me to do. lol

Q: How much will a ‘11 Mustang GT (the 5.0L V8) cost me if I buy one used in 3 years?
I drive an SUV right now (Ford Explorer Sport) but after riding in my buddy’s ‘07 Audi RS4 I’ve decided that I want something fast for my next car. I’m kinda poor and sure as hell can’t afford an Audi or the like..so I figure something like a Mustang might be my best bet? I really don’t know…I just like the way the newest ones look, sound and drive, and figure they aren’t outrageously expensive. I’m hoping to get a different car in 3 years or so and would like for it to have <60k miles. Whats something like that going to run me?

A: Look up a current 3year old Mustang (‘08) and it’ll be about the same price.

But then again that’s 3years away. Things can change in your situation over that time including what’s important to you.

Don’t try to compete with your friend over cars, especially if you are poor like you said and he’s riding in an Audi RS4.

A mustang even brand new is crap compared to any audi, let alone an rs4.

Oh and haha at the other answer saying fords are “expensive” at $20,000

Q: What is the lightest 2011 mustang 5.0 model?
I am looking to buy a ‘11 Mustang 5.0, but i want the fastest lightest one.
Which is the best? California special? i don’t want all the electronic crap because that add weight and i think if i get the California it add that kinda stuff.

A: Get a base GT hardtop with manual transmission. Pretty much all the deluxe packages are simply exterior/interior modifications that only add weight, not power. One way you can really enhance performance is to order a set of ultra lightweight wheels and sell the stock ones. Unsprung weight makes a huge difference.

Q: 2010 Camaro, Lexus IS F, 2010/11 Mustang?
Alright so im gonna be turning 17 and my dad is getting me a new car.
Since we are Indians, we are like hooked on camrys and foreign stuff
I thought i would change it up. I am thinking about getting a 2010 Camaro 2SS, but it sucks cause this stuff does not have navi, backup cam, and all that stuff that is like in all the new cars

Now the lexus is F is GREAT! It is just too expensive, i dont think i can get like a 58k car

I am planning to get a new car in november of 2010. What do yall think about the prices?

How much will each car be in late Nov/Dec?

A: If you can afford the Lexus it is the best car as far as resale, reliability, and quality. If price rules out the lexus you should defiantly wait till they unveil the new 5.0 Mustang this year. The Camaro is a hot car right now but resale is already speculated to drop fast and the reliability is shaky at best. The 5.0 Mustang and all of the GT Mustangs have huge resale value, lower insurance/maintenance costs, and over the years/miles hold up better.

Q: What is the best way to sell my 2008 Jacl Roush 427 TRAKPAK Mustang?
I have a 2008 Jack Roush 427 TRAKPAK Mustang with 11,500 miles on it and I NEED to sell it. Ive tried ebay, craigslist, and nothing has worked. Any help (or interest) would be appreciated.

A: Vehix.com

Q: how or where can i find a 03-04 mach 1 mustang for 11,000 or less?

A: most of the mach 1’s i have seen for sale price in the range of $13,000 if in really good condition…
like here
http://seattle.craigslist.org/oly/cto/1103205650.html
this is about as cheap as i have seen recently

http://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/ctd/1095849526.html

if you want to pay less you’ll have to get something like this (rebuilt with salvage title

http://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/cto/1096189181.html

all you can do is scout on the listings for your city-neighbouring cities

cheers, 04 cobra…..

Q: how much horsepower does a stock 2002 v6 mustang get when you put a procharger in it at 11 psi?

A: 11 psi is enough to launch the heads through the hood before you can enjoy it! But post pics, I’d love to see a puny V-6 EXPLODE under 11 PSI

Q: Speaker Shaker 400 for Mustang 2010/11?
Are these speakers good? and are they changing the speaker set for 2011 cuz they’re having America Club package instead of Pony, and they change the whole set of engine. So…..

A: yep, theyre really good, not sure about latest model though.let me know !

Q: How can you make a 67 Mustang handle big horsepower without a roll cage?
Or is a cage the only way to strengthen the unibody of a Mustang? I know subframe connectors are a joke on these cars. I am running 11.80’s, but it is a street car. I would like to build a chassis and drivetrain to handle (some day!) 700-800 horsepower. My body is already “rippled” from running the e.t. that I do. I’d like to make sure that car is rigid enough to prevent this in the future.

A: if you get into 10 second et’s i believe you have to have a roll cage to race. you should check out chassis specialty shops for proper chassis stiffening.

Q: Where can I get a 1999 Mustang GT convertable under $11,000?
In Tuscaloosa Alabama

A: I see a lot of good deals on eBay. Just don’t be afraid to travel.

Q: What is the top speed of a 2007 mustang v6 with the addiction of a vortech high output superchargering system?
http://www.vortechsuperchargers.com/product.php?p=93&cat_key=11

thats the web address to see more information. long story short, it increases horsepower from 210 up to 330 and torque from 240 to 337.

I know a lot of other factors go into this, but currently my mustang tops out about 110 and i was wondering if anyone could give me an estimate if i add the supercharger.
thanks

A: 110ish same as before. Its still limited to the same top speed for safety reasons. Due to the V6 models soft suspension it is unstable at high speeds.

A great and must read article: 2011 ford mustang for sale

Q: Will the 2012 Mustang GT be any different than the 2011 Mustang GT and do you think they will add more power?
I don’t know whether to get the 2011 or wait for the 2012 Mustang GT.

A: I would wait for the 2012, because the All-New body change is going to make the retro designs the thing of the past. At least you can drive around with a new body style that has not flooded the market.

In regards to the engine the only thing they plan to roll out on the 5.0 is the direct inject, which will pump out 25-40 more hp. The new 6 speed tran is going to be ported over to the 2012. So the new gears that are on the 2011 right now will be fully tested for the 2012.

I know what I’m talking about, because I’ve got people that I know that work on the design and test team.

Q: Can someone give me the full review of the 2011 Mustang?
I’m very interested in the 2011 Ford Mustang but I dont know too much about them. Can anyone give me the review (including pros and cons) of the Mustang and the Mustang GT?

A: …here you go!!! there are pics of the whole car(the rearview too) and info on it here!!!

http://www.autoblog.com/2010/03/29/2011-ford-mustang-gt-first-drive/

Q: Can I have Ford Sync installed in my new 2011 Ford Mustang?
I just bought a 2011 Mustang, the v6 one, and it doesn’t come with sync because it is the base model. I was just wondering if I could have a dealership install the Ford Sync system. Does anyone know if this is possible and how much does it cost?

A: If the base interior of the v6 is the same as the Mustangs with packages, then it might work. I would go to the nearest Ford dealership and ask. If it is possible, it would probably cost $500-$1000.

Q: What Car is better 2010 Camaro or 2011 Mustang v6’s?
Ok I have asked many questions on hear to see what car is better. My Dad is getting one of them around June. The 2011 Mustang comes out in May(v6 315 HP). He is going to give the car to me when i drive next year. What car is better, more fun, and a good beginners car.

A: mustang pretty much any year made better than any chevy made

go with the ford and you wil be driving it 50 years buy the chevy wil be working on it less than a year

advice of a old man chevys break more than fords
can prove it drive thru any shop count whats there waiting to be repaired bet you see more GM cars then fords

and the chevy’s wil be new an dif there is a ford it wil be yrs older

Q: What Exactly does the mustang security package come with on the new 2011 besides wheel locks?
Hello i ordered a new ford mustang 2011 v6 but the dealer forgot to add the security package and the factory remote starter. they put an off brand remote starter inside. and was wondering if those after market starters tend to fail, also back to the original question. what comes extra with the security package that’s 395 besides the wheel locks? i know it has a factory alarm but ford.com don’t include any other details. any one build these things or have any answers?

thanks!

A: a

Q: Depreciated value of a 2011 mustang after 2 years?
if the stock 2011 mustang is selling for $22,950 New. What would it sell for new after two years still new. I am not very familiar with depreciation values of cars.

A: if it was still new… It wouldn’t change much at all unless of course the new 2013 model that would be out was the same price for superior equipment. If the design remained the same over the 2 years.. it would likely be worth a little less, but it would also depend on warranty.
If it was never sold, then technically the warranty doesn’t start on it until it leaves a lot. so i would guess it would still go for around 20 grand..
If the car was sold, even for a short time, then the warranty would be almost up and your depreciation would be considerably more.. you would be looking at between 16-18 grand.

just my guess, it’s a hard hypothetical with many variables.

Q: Does the 2011 Ford Mustang have an option to add a glass roof?
I know you can have a glass roof on a 2010 Mustang, but what about the 2011?
If they do offer this, do you think it would look awkward?

A: http://www.fordvehicles.com/cars/mustang/features/#page=Feature6
But of course they will! Same car, just new drivetrain. It wont look awkward. Will look the same as the 2010 looks with a glass roof. So check out the website link posted. Will answer all.

Q: Is it true that Ford is coming out with the 5.0 engine for the mustang gt for 2011?
i have heard rumors that ford will bring back the 5.0 engine for the 2011 mustang gt? is it really true?

A: made a 5.0 mustang already about ten yrs ago wouldnt be anything new about that

Q: What upgrades should I get for my 2011 v6 mustang?
I’m deployed and buying a 2011 V6 mustang. I don’t know a whole lot about upgrading them and average prices and effects on HP, torque, sound. What should I get that would make it a little faster without spending too much?

A: well as a fellow V6 owner I can tell you exactly what you need! (and dont listen to all the V6 haters there just a bunch of macho jerks) here is a long list of parts that are cheap and some that are a little more pricy but well worth the price you can pick and choose from there

COLD AIR INTAKE- a cold air intake usually adds about 8-30hp and 10-30lbs of torque depending on what brand you get know this being a 2011 you may not have much of a choice yet but I would look for airaid,K&N and steeda-they are the leaders in this part and cold air intakes can run anywhere from $200-300 this is about as cheap as it gets to getting a nice hp bounus to your car

MUFFLERS- now I would like to congradulate you on finally buying a V6 with dual exhaust its been a long time coming but one thing to not is that all factory mufflers are restrictive due to chambered designs to make emitions more “green” with a cold air intake you get more air flowing through your engine so you have more air going out and with stock mufflers those tend to choke you up a little in the lower RPM’s when stomp the pedal to the floor so i suggest waiting for BORLA to make V6 2011 replacement mufflers only get borla! borla is a little higher im guessing the price should be 300-500 but is well worth it!!! not only do you get better performance about 15-25hp and 20-30 torque but you get a much more agressive sound that does the V6 justice all other competitors make it sound like a rice buring honda trust me i learned that the hard way

SHORT HEADERS short headers are very optional I dont know what you consider “cheap” so ill throw this out there and you can decide for yourself…there are 2 different kinds of headers (that are any good) there are short headers and long headers but for your case im thinking you dont want to major overhaul your car so i suggest short headers now when buying short headers there are coated and just plain stainless steel-stainless steel is what factory is made of and the coated are ceramic coated stainless steel the regular stainless will get very hot -but so does your factory so dont pay any attention to that but if your wanting to really pay for a good part that will make your car last a lot longer get the coated short headers the ceramic coating keeps the engine teperature much cooler and on a long trip or high tress situations after a liftime of a car the stainless steel can erode parts around it like ignition coil, wires and distributors wich is why you see that problem a lot with 100k plus cars…anyway short headers will allow the air to flow much more freely out of the engine going to your mufflers giving you around 10-20hp and 15-25 torque the stainless steel can run about 200-300 and the coated runs 350-500 but are well worth it in the long run

TUNER- a tuner is the NUMER ONE thing to be shure you get for your new mustang If this is the only thing you get for it you wont be dissapointed tuners are about $400 but they are the best thing for your car! they change the way your car runs (im not a tech wiz so i couldnt tell ya) but it changes the way the CPU runs your engine…ford puts rev limiters and all sorts of regulations on your stock tune that slow your car down and make that needle drag just a little slower the one and only place you should buy this product is at americanmuscle.com they are the number one aftermarket parts dealer for mustangs exclusively – i do not work for them im just a happy custumer- they have great customer service and fast free shipping and i said all that to say this…if you buy a tuner from americanmuscle.com they give you cutom tunes from BAMA chips which is a team of guys that run cars on the dyno and are tech wizzes that now how to make your engine run better than you ever dreamed possible if you buy one anywhere else they send you the tuner and no tune and you have to put in all the info yourself hahaha hope your a gearhead and own a dyno machine…so buy a tuner from americanmuscle.com now if you are afraid of voiding warrantee then there is no problem here! get the tuner you plug it into your car and download the custom tune from bama and lets say you have an engine problem plug it back into your car and you can reload the factory tune its that easy! now just a tuner all by itself with add 30+hp and 30+ torque but the cool part about a tuner is that every performance part ive listed it will double the hp and torque gains so if you get a cold air intake that 20hp and the exhaust mufflers thats 20hp and the headers is another 10 your looking at having about an extra 120hp!!!! thats like putting a supercharger on it!!

ooooh and if you have manual transmission I recommend going to steeda.com and getting there short throw shifter for a smoother faster and more crisper shifing I dont have a manual so I really couldnt tell you much about them other than that or even the prices but look at my links below and you can read about them

well unfortunately as a V6 owner we ar

Q: How much would I lose if I traded in my 2010 Mustang V6 for the new 2011 Mustang V6?
Also, the Mustang I have currently is fully loaded.
New engine with about 90+ more HP is very tempting, which I knew before I bought my 2010 Mustang 2 months ago. Approx 1500 miles on the Mustang.

A: that will be tough. If you walk in with $3500.00 cash in hand you might get the trade made. It will also depend on other factors also. Financing, appearance and who got the rebate? You or the dealership. Was it applied to the amount financed or was it pocket change to spend.. that will also cost you. Forget it, keep it, you liked it when you bought it.

Q: Is going past 6,500rpm in my 2011 mustang v6 beneficial?
I have a 2011 v6 mustang with the 6spd manual, according to ford’s website, the engine makes it’s most hp at 6500rpm and its most torque at 4250rpm. Redline is at 6900-7000rpm, so is it beneficial to go past 6500rpm and take it to redline?

A: At the drag strip, you will see your best times by shifting at the redline even though redline is a few hundred RPM higher than the power peak. On the street though, it isn’t necessary.

Oh, and to the guy who said it is pointless to race a V6 Mustang, the 2011 V6 Mustang has 305hp. That’s more than a 2005-2009 GT. It’s also lighter than a 2005-09 GT and has an extra gear in the transmission. The 2011 V6 Mustang isn’t the secretary’s car that V6 Mustangs of the past are.

Q: what would be the speed of a 2011 ford mustang gt?
ok the 2010 ford mustang gt 4.6L runs to 140 mph and it has 315 hp but they’re saying that they’re saying they’re going to replace the 4.6L to a 5.0L on the 2011 mustang gt with 400 hp and 400 torque and i want to know if the speed will be 140 or 150

A: the top speed will be limited @ 140 mph again or 155 mph because of safety standards and insurance purposes for Ford! it is capable of going a lot faster though!

Q: On the 2011 Mustang GT, do all the Mustangs steer the same or are their different steering options?
And should I get the 3.31, 3.55, or 3.73 limited rear slip axel and whats the difference?

A: Same steering system.

The higher the number the better the acceleration and the lower the mileage.

Q: How much would it cost to insure a 2011 Mustang?
I’m a single 18 year old female. I was told that those things make a big difference when being insured.

A: I recommend you this site where you can compare quotes so you can find the best option for you

http://qinsurance.notlong.com

Q: Should I get a 2010 Ford Mustang GT Premium at a big discount or wait for the 2011 Mustang GT?
I know the 2011 has more horsepower, what if I got a good offer for a 2010 at a big huge discount? SHould I get the 2010?
if the discount is 10K, is it worth it?

A: SCREW THAT the 2012 are out, find one of those, there are a few out there, and seems like 2010 everyone has one already get something no one has yet

Q: when will the 2011 mustang GT be for sale?
am going to buy this car as soon as it hits the sales floor does anyone know when it will be out like as in month wise???
yes know how much $30,000 to me thats not to bad but i am wanting a GT of course of the 5.0 and have to have a stick shift money doesnt matter i love em they look so nice

A: Most likely around the summer or early fall. Your best bet at getting one right away is to go to your local Ford dealer and reserve one.

Q: When will the 2011 Ford Mustang be out for sale?

A: Spring or Summer of 2010.

Q: Are the 2011 Ford Mustangs for sale yet?
Or have they not yet been released?

Thank you

A: Yes
Mustang GT COUPE PREM
5.0 4V TI-VCT V8
6 speed manuel
$34,090

Mustang GT CONV PREM
same as above
6 speed auto $40,480
6 speed man $44,545

Q: Are the 2011 for mustangs out yet?
I really have no clue and by comparing the specs on the 2011 v6 and 2010 v6 would much rather get the 2011. But I can’t seem to find out if there for sale yet. Thanks for the help!

A: They are not out just yet, but very very soon!
I just did a national search and my results showed that there are few built or scheduled… but not on dealer lots yet.

Search results included:
2 for the Pittsburgh region 1 Shelby and 1 v6
1 Shelby for the Memphis area
9 in th L.A. region all v6’s with one being a convertible
and the San francisco region shows 2 Shelbys, and six v6’s including 1 convertible

Soooo that means that they are very soon to be released.
Usually Ford waits until they they have enough to “go around” before they start releasing the first batches.
You could also go to your local Ford dealer and place an order for one precisely built to your specifications too!
^that would probably be about an 8-12 week wait (<--my guess)

Q: Should i buy a 2010 mustang or wait for the 2011?
Im planing to buy a new car and well i want a mustang the problem is that my dad dont want me to get the v8 sow im gonna have to go with v6 im planning to get the pony package with moonrof and gps my question is that should i buy the 2010 with 210 hp or wait for the 2011 that is supposed to have a new motor called ecoboost that will give 315 hp more than the camaro v6. Do you know if this is true and when will it be on sale supposly i hear that starting in spring but not sure

A: Get the 2010. The “so called ecoboost” is NOT gonna be Worth the extra $$$’s they’ll soak Us with- when the ’11’s come out. The 2010’s are a GOOD car, & they’re as Cheap as they’re gonna GET- before the Prices start heading up- this Winter…

Q: Battle of the Base Model Giants. Mustang V6 vs Camaro V6 vs Challenger V6?
The internet is amass with V8 queries into what muscle car is the best and what is to be the best when the new 2011 Mustang debuts with the new V8 5.0.

My question is what is the best basic model ( Mini Muscle ) car would be? The 2011 Mustang with the new 3.7L V6 good for over 300hp – the 2011 Camaro with the continuing 3.6L 304hp V6 – or the 2011 Challenger with the continuing 3.5L 250hp V6.

Of course, these are the sales leaders and I am curious how many people will respond to the question about the base model of their pulse pounding vehicles.

Magazines say that the Challenger is the old school cruiser, with old school handeling and looks. – The Camaro is a scorcher V6 and fun to drive hard but has so so interior quality – and the 2010 Mustang was the sleeper with the antique 200hp V6, but with the new 300+ hp V6 I believe the Mustang is the new game changer for the V6 Mills.

What you think?
Tannor – You will be very happy to hear that I own a 2004 Ford Mustang Convertible with the V6. Despite what every else was telling me, I put a chrome ” V 6 ” Badge on the flank and am keeping a single pipe on the car. I love Mustangs but can’t afford the insurance on the V8. If you don’t pose like a V8, you don’t get laughed at

B.T.W. Not planning on buying one, I was just curious what everybody thought. Glad Mustang is ahead with the first 2 answers going for the pony.

A: If you are looking for one I would recommend the V6 mustang or Camaro. Mustang if you plan on upgrading engine parts in the future, or camaro or mustang stock. I would never take the challenger because it lacks performance to the extreme. You are better off with the V6 mustang overall though because the camaro and challenger are supposed to have big burley V8’s, so if you show up with a V6 you look like a poser. With the mustang it wont matter because the 2011 V6 is putting out numbers close to that of the 2010 V8. Save yourself embarrassment and go with the mustang. Personally I am a camaro guy, but not the V6, dont be a poser. I like the mustang for its V6, hope I helped.

A great and must read article: 2011 ford mustang for sale

Q: Can I have Ford Sync installed in my new 2011 Ford Mustang?
I just bought a 2011 Mustang, the v6 one, and it doesn’t come with sync because it is the base model. I was just wondering if I could have a dealership install the Ford Sync system. Does anyone know if this is possible and how much does it cost?

A: If the base interior of the v6 is the same as the Mustangs with packages, then it might work. I would go to the nearest Ford dealership and ask. If it is possible, it would probably cost $500-$1000.

Q: Is everyone else as excited about the 2011 ford mustang gt as I am?
Ford is putting the 5.0L engine back in the stang and its going to be faster then the SS Camaro and the Srt8 Charger and have a better hp/lbs ratio then them. How great are the 2011 stangs going to be
Also faster and better hp/lbs ratio then the dodge srt8 challenger as well

A: YES!!
I’m very excited and we are starting to put in our orders now.
Even those that don’t need the extra power are excited because Ford is offering big incentives on the 2010’s to make room for the 2011’s

It’s a win-win situation for everybody!.. except maybe the ‘competition’… )

Q: Around how much would it cost to insure a 2011 Ford Mustang V6?
Will the fact it’s a Mustang mean I get charged a lot. If you think about it, it’s not really more powerful than any of your luxury vehicle engine, and the car isn’t that expensive. But it is called a Mustang. The car is really powerful (305 hp), but it’s not a GT, so will I have to pay an arm and a leg? I pay about $800 a year for my RSX Type S currently.

A: Since you cleverly forgot to tell us anything about yourself, where you live, your age, your driving history, and since we don’t have rate books here, you’ll have to call an agent or company to get a quote; we can’t do it here.

Q: What is the difference between the 2011 ford mustang and the “premium” edition?
Please list all specifications, special features, etc.

A: you mean like 2 extra cylinders, 12 extra valves and 107 horsepower….bigger brakes, swaybars and heavier springs, wheels and tires….upgraded interior the list goes on…

Q: Spiritually speaking, should I trade in my yellow Volkswagon Beetle for a red 2011 Ford Mustang 5 liter V8?
Do you think the girls will respect me more if I turned up in this: http://2011cars.net/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/2011-mustang.jpg

This car has more cylinders than I have inches!

A: I’d respect you more is you rode an environmentally friendly bicycle.Preferably in your tight, latex bike shorts to help accentuate your glorious man equipment.

Q: Which is better (faster) and stronger? 2011 Ford Mustang GT or 2010 BMW 335i base?
the 2011 mustang gt has like 420hp and the 335i only has 300hp. so doesn’t it make sense that the gt would own the 335i? but then how come the 335i costs like twice the price of the ford mustang 2011 gt?
or am i wrong?
1 second ago – 4 days left to answer.

A: The worth of a car is not measured by engine size, horse power or even speed. It’s all about build quality, materials use, overall driver enjoyment, service, residual values, safety, handling, and much more.

What you have with the Ford Mustang GT is a cheaply made Ford. Just look at the amount of cheap plastics used and other low quality parts in the poorly designed interior. The mechanicals are awful too. The suspension and rear axle are horribly dated, any kind of electronic stability and traction control is old fashioned.

In terms of brute force, the Mustang is the clear winner. In a straight line it will, as you put it, own the BMW (although really we are talking less than half a second difference 0-60). But throw in some real life driving, with turns, and you’d immediately appreciate the BMWs poise and handling. versus the clumsy Mustang with its single rear axle.

When you sit in the BMW, you’ll find a classically designed vehicle that has won top ten ranking by Car and Driver for something like 19 years in a row. You’ll see expensive wood, and quality materials. Everything you touch has a feel of quality to it.

You can expect good reliability from the BMW, it will hold its value well, and for the first 50,000 miles you can expect free servicing, even oil changes, brakes and wiper blades replaced for free.

Finally, if you are a grown up, you will realize that in this day and age, racing around in a muscle car so fast you can out accelerate a BMW 335i, is just going to end with bad things. Tickets, loss of license, jail, fines, you name it.

For most normal people, they are going to use their cars for a daily commute to work, and perhaps a trip at the weekends.

The BMW will ultimately be a wonderfully fast and rewarding driving experience. The Mustang on the other hand will always be a young boys racer. The harsh antiquated suspension, noise, and over the top styling, combined with that nasty interior, will grow old very quickly. And when you sell it, don’t expect to do well there. Fords are not great at holding their value. When you try to sell your Mustang, there will be a dozen others just like it, helping to keep your value down.

Finally there is insurance. The Mustangs reputation as being a car for immature males with a racing fetish will ensure they stick it to you on the insurance premiums. The in your face styling will also make you a cop magnet.

Sorry, but there is no real comparison between these two vehicles, I’d take the BMW any day over the Mustang, and gladly pay the extra for that kind of quality.

Q: what is the song that is used in the new 2011 ford mustang commercial?
i just wanted to know what that song is.

A: The song from the Ford Mustang commercial is “Light of the Morning” by Band of Skulls.

You can check out a video of the commercial and listen to the song at the link below:

http://www.popisms.com/TelevisionCommercial/16581/Ford-Commercial-for-Ford-Mustang-2010.aspx

Q: What’s the name of the song that’s on the 2011 Ford Mustang commercial?
All I know is “You gotta go.” My little bro loves that song and i would like to get it for him.

A: song name: Light of the morning

Q: Which is better (faster) and stronger? 2011 Ford Mustang GT or current BMW 335i base?
the 2011 mustang gt has like 420hp and the 335i only has 300hp. so doesn’t it make sense that the gt would own the 335i? but then how come the 335i costs like twice the price of the ford mustang 2011 gt?

Q: does the new 2011 v6 ford mustang have a button for traction control ON/OFF?
im talking about the new 2011 V6 mustang that will be coming out soon. not 2010. thanks.
is the traction control button an upgrades option only on the GT? or on the v6 too? is it in the base v6?

A: It is available. Depends on the options. The v6 has the traction control as an option.

Q: How many gallons per tank are in the 2011 Ford Mustang V-6 Coupe?

A: 17 gal…

Q: is a 2011 ford mustang gt a stick shift?
i was just wondering cause this is my dream car and i don’t want to be driving a stick shift!

A: Once you get use to it, driving a stick shift is a lot of fun,but you can get an automatic.

Q: Which 2011 Ford Mustang should I pick?!?
Now with the 2011 Ford Mustangs out, I am so in love with them!!!!

I decide to get a 2011 Mustang, except the GT500 (I think they are an over performance for me). The performance of both V6 and GT are so astonishing to me, that I just have to get one!!!! But that is the problem, should I get a GT or a V6?

The V6 has a 4 cylinder fuel economy, with a performance of a V8, with a cheaper price of course. The GT had just took it to the next level, with a performance not far from a Corvette, with a good fuel economy. If it was the 2010 Mustang, I will get a GT of course, the V6 is just a hell to me. Now, with both V6 and GT like that, it is so hard to pick…. Since the only difference between this 2 is GT with the higher power, but V6 with the higher fuel economy. The handling and braking is pretty much the same.

I have already owned a 2006 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 (Got it used so don’t laugh please), and I think I just want a Mustang to cruise but sometime I want to have a blast with performance. With both huge powers, perfect fuel economies, and everything about them is just perfect…. I do not know which one to pick, a V6 or GT. Please Help! Thank You!

A: You are one lucky man to have the chance to choose. Im just hoping i can afford either one. Id say go for the GT (5.0) because every mustang enthusiast and competitor know that the legendary 5.0 is the boss baby. The minute you pull up and they see that blinding 5.0 badge they will shit their pants haha. five-oh all the way +5.0

A great and must read article: 2010 mustang for sale

Q: What are the chances I could buy a 2005 ford mustang for $10,000?
Im poor but this is my dream car. What are the chances?

A: You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here – carinsurance.yoll.net

Q: Tire Pressure For 01 Ford Mustang – 10 POINTS?
01 Ford Mustang V6…aftermarket tires…245/45 R17 95W Tires.

I believe its 32 psi, but I’m not entirely sure. I checked the tire, but couldn’t find nothing. If you could please tell me the correct pressure I would greatly appreciate it…Thanks.

A: Those are the same sized tires that the GT came stock with. The gas door label on my 03 GT says 30 psi. I usually run 32 psi though.

Q: where can i find a 1965 ford mustang for 10,000 dollars or less?

A: there are lots of lthem out there, but they might need some work, check the Mustang and Ford trader

Q: is a 4:10 gear ratio the best in a 91 Ford Mustang?
i just bought a 1991 ford mustang gt and the person i bought it from said it has a 4:10 gear ratio in the lower gears but it is an automatic i’m wondering if that is good on the transmission etc.
it’s going to be my daily driver and it’s occasionaly going to be ran pretty good

A: 4:10 in the auto will be fine. If you do a lot of highway driving and think the revs are too high, you can always swap to a 3:73 gear ratio. The transmission will be fine.

Q: what makes the 1991 5.0 ford mustang engine 10 hp more powerful than a 1989 5.0?
i was told that an 89 5.0 has 10 less hp than a 1991 5.0 but the engines are exactly the same as far as i can see. what makes the difference.

A: thats b u l l s h i t. from 1987-1992 all 5.0 mustangs were rated at 225 hp. in 1993 they changed from forged to hyperpuetic pistons and the rating for horspower dropped to 205, but this is said to be mainly from Ford changing how they measure HP. the only real difference under the hood in any of these is that in 1987 and 1988 the 5.0 was controlled by a speed density type computer. these cars lacked a mass air meter and were said to have run harder than the mass air versions(1989-1993), however i have drove both and i really can’t tell a difference. however it is much easier to hot rod the mass air units.

Q: what would you buy, ford mustang gt shelby or a porsche 911 carrera?
Am looking at getting a hobby car. Am stuck with a few options. Could get a 8-10,000$ ford gt mustang or I could get a 17-20,000$ porsche 911 carrera. I looked at BMW M5 as well and for that price i’d rather go with a 911.
So which one would you choose and why? Also, I am open for other ideas.

A: I would go with the 911. Best gas mileage, awesome race bred, flat-6 boxer engine, It goes over 170mph.

Mustang GT performance does not come close. Handing is bad. Top Speed is very low=146mph.

M5 is limited to 155mph and is a sedan. Not as sporty as the Porsche, which handles and looks better.

Q: 2005 Ford Mustang Under 10,000?
Hi, I was wondering if anyone had a site where I could find a 2005 Mustang under 10,000 in the Northeast. I have been looking and have found nothing. Is it even possible to find this car at this price? Thanks si much,
Kacie Albert
I am in NJ but I am willing to drive a few hundred miles. would like an automatic as well. Thanks so much

A: North East of where?
If it’s the UK try auto trader. They have millions of cars, and it’s always worth a look

Edit

There is a auto trader.com too
Probably same company

Q: I have 2002 ford mustang, going to install a Hifonics brutus amp at 2600 rms and 4 alpine type r’s 10’s!?
Im going to get the big 3. and get a custom built sub enclosure that holds 4 10’s facing upwards. the image is int this website ->

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/FORD-MUSTANG-4-HOLE-10-95-03-SUBWOOFER-SUB-SPEAKER BOX_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem4837821cf6QQitemZ310168919286QQptZCarQ5fAudioQ5fVideo

My question is Has anyone done an install Similar to this.
and how does it sound.. Right now i have a temp setup 2 kicker cvr and boss amp with the epicenter. n a cap.. thanks

A: Well the airspace on the box is only
AIRSPACE: 1.13 CU.FT. PER CHAMBER.

and recommended is
Minimum Sealed Box Volume0.5 cubic feet
Maximum Sealed Box Volume0.8 cubic feet
So it will probably do great. Put some insulation in your box to get better sound.

Don’t fry your subs with that amp.

Q: Mitsubishi Eclipse GT ´09 v.s. Ford Mustang Gt ´10. Which one would you buy?
A question related to the old rivalry between tuners and muscles. If you had the chance which one would you choose and why?
Hi, first of all thank you for your answers and for those yet to come.
I just want to establish that i chose this 2 cars for a reason and im expecting a more elaborate answer in relation with this cars and no other. So the bottom line is, which of them would you buy and why?

A: You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here – carquotes.sinfree.net

Q: 2001 Ford Mustang Ticking – 10 POINTS?
2001 Mustang V6
Cold Air Intake
Dual Flowmaster exhaust

….I have a ticking noise coming from this black box near my stock headers, what could this be? A lifter tick? Exhaust leak?

A: All Fords make a tick after so many miles.

My 2006 F150 has lifter tick, and so did my Mazda MX6 (v6 engine the same as a ford probe), as well as both of my buddies Ford Rangers. Its nothing serious, TYPICALLY it goes away once the engine is warmed up if its lifter tick (but this is not always the case).

If it stays after the engine is warmed up, then its more then likely an exhaust leak.

Q: I want a Ford mustang for less than $10,000?
I am 17 and still don’t have my own vehicle. I would love a Ford Mustang.. doesn’t matter what year model just as long as it works and has less than 80K miles on it and is less than $10,000. Someone tell me if I am crazy to think I will get a car with this criteria. Preferred convertable but not necessary. Colors doesn’t really matter, just something pretty… I am a girl after all! lol Oh and it has to be in Texas… pref. close to the Lubbock area which is where I live. I don’t want it if it isn’t in Texas. E-mail me with pictures and every single detail you can think of. I want to know everything about the car. Thank you!

A: stick to these years and engines

$4,000 1998 Mustang V6

$6,000 99 to 2001 Mustang V6

$8,000 V8 1999 to 2000

$10,000 V6 2003 or a V8 2001

Q: Is there any Ford Mustangs under $10,000 that are used?
I was looking for a used Ford Mustang, preferably a GT convertible, 2005 or greater, in gray. My mom says that if I attend the community college next year (after i graduate high school), then she will get me a mustang to replace my crappy ‘02 ford explorer. I have wanted a stang since I was like 5, so yeah…

A: You can find plenty of them in the 99-04 body style. On autotrader.com right now, there are 8 2005-2009 Ford Mustang GT’s in the entire country for under $10,000. They are all totalled cars or have salvage titles. Sorry.

Q: ford mustang’s successor 10 points for best answer?
what is the mustang gt successor?
what is the mustang mach 1 succesor?
what is the mustang saleen succesor?
what is the mustang roush 1,2,3 succesor?

A: what is the mustang gt successor?GT500
what is the mustang mach 1 succesor?Cobra
what is the mustang saleen succesor?GT500KR or super snake
what is the mustang roush 1,2,3 succesor?GT500KR or super snake

Q: I have won a Ford Mustang GT in NFS shift after reaching Level 10.But I cannot find it.Where is my car?
It is shown in my driver profile achievement but I can’t find it?Please tell me where is it…….

A: I too have the game, what it is…is that you have unlocked it from the Car Dealership to claim it, not under your garage. I am only at level 18 so far, game is enjoyable, but difficult to drift.

Q: Ford Mustang Tune Up Estimate Cost – 10 POINTS?
2001 Ford Mustang V6 Automatic 121,500 miles. My car has been running sluggish for a few months now and I think it’s time for a decent tune up. How much would all this run me?

1. Oil Change
2. Oil Filter Replaced
2. Tire Rotation & Balance
3. Timing Belt Replaced
4. Spark Plugs & Wires Replaced
5. Fuel Filter Replaced
6. Cap & Rotor Replaced
7. PCV Value Replaced
8. Injectors Cleaned
9. Change Fluids
10. Adjust Valves
11. Transmission Flush
12. Brake Inspection etc

*I don’t need an air filter, I just recently installed a K&N air filter so I’m good. Also, this is just some of the things I’ve read online that are included in a tune up. I’m not an expert with it comes to car maintenance.

A: you’re gonna spend at least 1200.00 bucks to do all that. You might also pull off that MAF sensor and clean it with electrical cleaner as the oil from the K&N filter can stick on it when you first install it. That can cause problems.

A great and must read article: 2010 mustang for sale

Q: 65 ford mustang v-8 for sale?
I found a 65 4 barrel mustan v-8 with a 289 manual 4 speed tranny the car have headers and flowmasters, the a/c works and looks good for being that old no bondo minor scratches the car runs but it’s being sitting in the guy garange for like 10 years so I have to change all the fluids and some other parts he want’s 6k is this a good deal for how much this cars go
the parts for this car aren’t that hard to find cuz is one of the mayor classics so some stores carry the parts or other ones sell the aftermarket so is not that hard and they are expensive but not that much

A: buy it or in a few years they r going to be so expensive that maybe you won’t be able to aford it or if you do u will say anyways why I didn’t buy that cheap mustang back in the day
and the parts in this car r cheap well not that cheap but a decent price

Q: 2007 Ford Mustang for firrst car??
Ok my dad knows this dude that owns a car lot and the dude that owns it goes to ford sales and he said he could get me one for about $10,000
My dad said that would be a good car for me, wut do you all think??

What about gas, maintenence, reliablity, power, ride comfort???

Would i enjoy this car?? we test drove one and we really liked it and thought it rode a little rough, maybe it was just that car, or the tires it had one it

A: Oh there is SOO much wrong information here from these other uninformed, biased people! Ok, here we go.
-Mustangs are just as reliable as any other car if you properly maintain them.
-Mustangs are not huge gas hogs, considering the performance you get in return. If you want 35 miles per gallon, buy a Focus. If you are redlining the car constantly from stoplight to stoplight, yes you will go through a lot of gas.
-Getting into a Mustang will NOT automatically jack up your insurance rates. When I was 21, I went from an Escort (4 cylinder) to a Mustang GT (V8) and my rates went DOWN. Why, you ask? Because I had a clean record. Your record matters way more than the car.
-If the one you drove felt rough, it may have been a GT, which has a little bit stiffer springs, or the tires were hard. Mine doesn’t ride rough at all.
-Don’t worry about long term reliability. My 1998 is past 135,000 miles and has never leaked, blown an engine or transmission, or anything like that. I got 30 miles per gallon once on a long highway trip. With mixed city and highway driving, I get 24 mpg all the time. Not exactly a gas hog.

Q: Anyone In the L.A. area looking to buy a car?
I have a 2002 Ford mustang for sale. 66000 miles in great shape. Im leaving the country and I have nowhere to put it when I move so I have got to sell it soon.. I’ll take $1000 or best offer give me a call between the hours of 10:00 and 7:00 at (334) 963 4391 that is my office number.. Just ask for me, Ben Watkins thanks

A: Offering a $6 thousand dollar vehicle for a grand has scam written all over it. Add to that the community guidelines for the site which say clearly it’s for asking, or answering questions, not for placing free “for sale” ads.

It under the section that starts “Exploiting the community” at the link given below. I’d really suggest you delete this ‘question’ before someone reports it.

Q: How much do you think this 2000 Mustang is worth?
Here is the listing details and pics.

“i have a 2000 ford mustang. blue in color, v6 & a automatic.
it has light damage in the front bumper due to all of the holes & hills. The front bumper was cracked when i got the car & the pecies that are chiped were barely hanging then. Nothing that 80 dollars couldnt fix.
it has 112xxx miles, very cheap on gas, runs & drives great. Never been wrecked, clear title, & ive never had a problem at all out of it other than the recent exhaust leak that it has, but its minor. all it needs is a gasket which is 10.00 at advance, ive checked just havent had time to get it fixed. Custom sun roof, body kit, pioneer CD player, light up gas and break peddals blue neon underglow, tinted windows, blue & black seat covers, blue and grey interior, 17″ inch ultra spyder chrome rims with new good year tires & the factory rims with tires. New halo projector headlights not even three weeks old that have blue led lights around them. This car has been well taken care of, if it was up to me i would keep it! Right now i have two 12 inch audiobahns in it with a 1600 watt legacy amp that also has blue led lights, but i haven’t made up my mind if I’m going to let it go with it or not (depends on how much i sale it for.) I have a aftermarket spoiler (thats in the picture) and the origional factory spoiler. A aftermarket grill thats on it now & the factory grill. clear tail lights & origional tail lights. Car is clean inside & out.”

Here are the pics that were listed.

http://img110.imageshack.us/my.php?image=mustangtk4.jpg

http://img120.imageshack.us/img120/3259/mustangny2.png

How much do you think is a fair price for it.

They are asking $5200 obo.
lmao……
FYI: its a car i’m looking to buy maybe. not mine.

A: I do think it is a little high also. I have a 2003 mustang v6 with 102,000 miles, and I recently checked the Kelly Blue Book and it was around 5,000 dollars. You have more miles with minor damage. I would say 3,500 dollars should be a good price for that.

Q: Obtaining title for inheritied classic vehicle?
I inherited my father’s 1965 Ford Mustang when he passed in 2000. It sat on his property up until recently, and has too many repairs for me to keep up with effeciently. I want to sell the vehicle, but we possess neither a title nor a bill of sale. My father owned the vehicle for over 10 years before he died, but we have nothing to prove this.

The vehicle has a very old tag issued in Alabama, but I live in Oklahoma. I’m not sure how this affects getting a title.

How can I obtain a legal title or bill of sale so that I can sell the Mustang?

A: Many DMV offices in the US will make it hard on you if you apply for a lost title.

Some will want you to put up a bond (your own money) that the state will keep for years to cover them in case the vehicle turns up as stolen.

Once a set number of years has passed, they will finally send you the title, and even then it could be a salvage title – hurting the value of your car.

There is a way around this for cars older than 1974:

http://www.broadwaytitle.com/

I know many people who have used their services, and it is a great way to get a real title for your car in a short amount of time.

It is really simple – taking advantage of the fact that Alabama did not require titles for cars before 1974. If you buy an old car from Alabama, all you will get is a bill of sale and proof of registration (license plates). The DMV in your state most likely will have to accept this and issue you a new title.

Broadway will supply you with these documents for a fee. It is a loophole – but also very legal.

Make sure you double check that your state’s DMV will accept a bill of sale and registration from Alabama (most of them still do) – and you will be set.

Good luck!

-Zim

Q: Why is it somehow “wrong” to make a car salesman play by your rules when making a purchase?
My boyfriend of 6 months went with me to look at a 2006 Ford Mustang at a dealership today. He says it was “wrong” for me to make the salesman treat me a certain way and play by my rules.

Here’s a little background on me; I’m a 38 year old woman and have been an ASE certified auto mechanic for 18 years. I’m part owner of the shop my dad founded in 1980 and I serve as the general manager in charge of 10 mostly male employees so I’m used to getting respect. Although, if you ask any of my guys, I’m not an evil slave driver, I’m really cool about a lot of stuff. They just know they better show the utmost respect to customers and don’t do anything dishonest. Whenever I go to buy anything big I like to keep the upper hand with the salesperson, unless its a private party sale where there’s never any need to anyway. This is also the first time I’ve ever really dealt with a car dealer on a sales basis before; I usually drive whatever the shop is selling for unpaid mechanic’s liens (I’m a single mom of 4; 1 in college, 1 in the Air Force and 2 at home and I don’t make THAT much) but I just paid off my house (after 15 years) and I want something nice for once. I’ve saved for years for a newer car.

Well, when we went into the dealership the salesman I talked to immediately tried to steer me towards buying a new Focus, a car I wouldn’t buy if my life depended on it. I told him that I was only interested in the Mustang and unless he had an older Camaro or Firebird in good shape (for possible restoration) on his back lot, I wasn’t interested in anything else. He then proceeded to call me “Missy” which I HATE being called. I may be female and reasonably attractive but “Missy” sounds like something you would call a little girl. My name is Sandra Elizabeth and the guys who work for me address me as various forms of those names (I’m not picky, one tech jokingly calls me Lizzie Macguire because I look like an older Hilary Duff and it doesn’t bother me a bit) but would never, ever call me Missy and expect to keep their jobs. I told the salesman that if he wanted to earn a sale from a cash buyer he’d better address me as ma’am or by my name, take me to the car I wanted to see, not try to sell me anything else and keep his comments to himself while I inspected the vehicle unless I asked him a question. I even explained to him that I am a mechanic and I know exactly what I’m looking for (and probably a lot more about cars than he does) so his comments would be useless anyway. My rules with salesmen are basically show me respect, don’t lie to me and let whatever you’re selling sell itself. He wouldn’t keep his mouth shut and kept treating me like a kid so I walked off and directly into the manager’s office and explained to him that I didn’t like the way the salesman treated me and that if I didn’t get a full apology from him I was not going to purchase the car. The manager called the sales guy in and it sounded like he was getting a major talking to. The manager came out, apologized for the salesman and handled the details of the sale for me.

My boyfriend says that I was too rough on the guy and I should have just let him do what he was doing. I’ll admit that I am one tough cookie; who wouldn’t be after raising 4 kids on their own and managing a shop full of men? I just felt I deserved reasonable respect. When I sell lien cars I basically leave the potential buyer alone until they have a question; its less intimidating particularly for inexperienced buyers. I want them to feel comfortable with me because if they do, they might use my shop in the future.

A: I’m going to skip your ridiculously long explanation.

I saw a few key words, like that you’re a mom with a kid in the Air Force, and a few other things that don’t matter in the slightest to your question. Which tells me you want people to know a lot about you. Because you feel it’s relevant.

It’s not.

To answer the simple question of why it’s not fair to make them play by your rules: Because you’re being damned selfish and full of yourself, is why.

They’re not “sales people”. They’re human beings, just like you, trying to make a living. They have certain quotas to meet, and certain rules that have been instructed to them by their bosses.

More than likely, he is NOT going to get spoken to. Instead, he’s going to be told that you were just “one of those customers”, and to not worry about it.

So you’re a mechanic? So? What do you do when a customer comes into your shop, and tells you how to run things? And expects you to do things their way, instead of your way?

I’m going to guess you’d bitch about that too.

Q: Question about second chance financing and returning a lemon.?
I purchased a 2001 acura cl with 107,000 miles for $9800 bucks. My apr is 21% (i know it is very high), I put $2000 down and my monthly payments are $377 bucks a month for 33 months. It’s a jacked up deal but because my engine in my old car died, i HAD to get another car.
I have a really high debt to income ratio and been behind on a couple credit cards for the last 3 months. So my credit score has dropped quite a bit. I had to do special financing. So the car i bought is garbage. I took it home the first day and it would not start again for about 10 mins. Then it started but did the same thing 2 days later. I had to have the car towed back to the dealership. I asked at that point to return the car because i was having a bad feeling about the future issues with the car. The said i couldnt return the car. The said the issue was i needed a new fuel injector or something. so the replaced it and sent me on my way. The car did the same thing 3 days later. They said it was the battery, so they replaced it and sent me on my way. Then it happened again a couple days later. They put the car in the shop for a week and called me to pick it up. I go to the svc dept to get the paperwork to see what was done and they told me they did nothing to the car because it started for them everytime they tried. So i take the car home and the next day, it did the same thing!

I went back to the dealership today and they said they will sell me a 98 ford mustang with 59000 miles for $8000. The kelly blue book says the asking price should be $6200 from the dealership. i asked the sales manager and he told me that because it’s “special financing” the second chance lender tacks on all these fees. Now my question is, if 8000 is the sale price, the lender dont see any of that money. The lender makes their profit from that high interest rate they are charging me, right. I just want to know if the dealership is feed me a load of crap or not. I would think the would bend over backwards for me after selling me a lemon that left me stranded four times.

The car dont fall under the tx lemon law because its a used car and not under the original warranty. I’m told that if i try to give the car back, they will keep my $2000 deposit because they sent most of it to the state for title and taxes. I think they are not being truthful about most of the stuff they told me. I think they are doing everything they can to keep this deal. What should i do?? any advice would help! Thanks!!

A: You bought a car. You did not have it checked out by your own mechanic prior to purchase, You took delivery of the car, and signed the finance contract. You had several problems with the car, which the dealer attempted to fix under warranty for you. They were unable to duplicate the problem that you are complaining about, and unless they can, they can not fix it.

You now want to trade the car for another car. The dealer is willing to do so, but they are charging you a price that you consider to be too high. You have two choices, you can keep the first car, and make your payments, or you can trade it in for the second car, at the price the dealer is charging.

If you just bring the car back and drop it off, it will be considered a repossession. The finance company will sell the car, and the amount of the sale, less all costs of title, towing, storage and sale will be deducted from the sales proceeds. This will be applied to your loan balance, and you will be sued for the difference. The finance company will get a judgment, attach your wages and bank accounts, and ruin your credit for 7 years.

Any money you put down would be gone, and you would have no car, and still owe money.

A great and must read article: 2010 mustang for sale

Q: What is better ‘10 Mustang GT500 or Dodge Challenger R/T J?
I love the Mustang better, but my parents think other wise. I want the Mustang GT500, which is roughly $46,000. I am about to get my permit, so I need a car to drive. They say that the GT500 is too much and want to get me a car in the 20s. What do you all think about this situation?

A: NOT SURE where answerer ZEALOT got his info but its really wrong.

…1st of all in terms of handling based on the improved suspension in the 09/10’s mustang & shelby their handling and road holding is outstanding (lateral acceleration/skidpad ratings for them are better than bmw 335i).

here is latest test comparison road lateral accel 9road holding)

mustang gt/shelby: .95g ; camaro .90g ; challenger rt; .82

lets face it the challenger is big – actually its obese at almost 4200lbs it outweighs the ford product by over 600lbs and is 300lbs heavier than a camaro. its wide (76 in. vs the shelby 74″ )and its long (- full 10 in. longer than the shelby and 8 in. longer than the camaro)….which means parking and street driving is a chore.

the challenger is quite frankly a great engine installed in a pig….wide and fat, with roadholding abilities that match cars from the 80’s.

the other problem…is of course basically chrysler is finished, its performance division is gone and there will be little aftermarket product for the challenger…..

i think if you cannot get the the shelby….
-consider the camaro ss (its faster/handles better than the challenger )
and is same price as the R/T…..OR new mustang GT (or late model GT) with the track pack….as mentioned above handling is now outstanding, its faster 0-60 and in the 1/4mi. than the dodge, its price competitive plus its been in production for plus 45 yrs and has the largest aftermarket following of ANY car.
….new mustang and in a yr or 3 you can throw a supercharger on it, better exhaust, and run it up to plus 420hp for less than $7000 including pro shop labour.

unless your dad is a died in the wool dodge guy the new 2010 or an 09 mustang gt is about 2X better product than the challenger plus will hold its resale value better than the dodge (when challenger is terminated – which is likely a certainty).

i have read every road test on the challenger – have driven one and really cannot understand whats to love in this car.
have driven 08 shelby…….its really tight solid and good handling and road tests for 2010, are even better. camaro is faster than new mustang gt, but its big and slow handling car….roof is too low plus it looks like gm’s performance division is toast so the ss may be terminated again

my view – if you lose the battle on the shelby – go with new mustang gt……….cannot see what the argument for a challenger could possibly be, its such a bad auto.

Q: Help with creative ideas to put a system in my 1995 Mustang? 10 pts for best answer!?
So I am wanting to put a nice sound system in my car, but Mustangs are notorious for having NO ROOM. I need all the trunk space I have and really really need my back seats too.. Any creative idea on how I can get a cool system without having to sacrifice my space?

Ten points to best answer!

A: You can get a couple shallow subs in the boxes and have them face inward at each other with an amp on the back seat or a fancy looking board in the middle towards the seats so you have some room. Go with the P3 shallows by rockford fosgate. Those are good sounding subs and will sound great in that car too.

Q: What is better for a 16 year old in a mustang 1 10″ mtx sub or 2 10″ subs but they are off brand?
the two subs are Physco Sound’s Maniac or something like that 400 watt a piece

A: well unlike the last guy that answered i like mtx subs. i think they can put out a pretty good pound. definetly go with the mtx. never settle for off brand subs. they will always be a dissapointment and you’ll never get a passenger to hear it and say “wow”. and ive never even heard of that other brand that you listed so yea. easy question there

Q: What are the chances of finding a 66/65 mustang fastback in 10 years that is unrestored?
Will there be any more my ‘dream car’ left in 10 years to restore, i was looking for this car in relatively good condition, matching numbers and in manual transmission

A: Only a guess will answer that question. I would say yes, but the real question is “Will you be able to afford one in 10 years?” They will be out there, but the price goes up every few years. As far as matching numbers, what engine are you looking for? There are tons out there with the in-line 6. The 289 is a bit harder to come by. A lot of people are restoring them now a days with a 302 and manual out of a lat3 80’s and early 90’s mustangs.
If you want to make it a comfortable daily driver, matching numbers don’t matter since you would want an electronic ignition (not stock points) and a mustang II front end for a better handling/smoother ride.

Q: will 4 10 gears work on a stock transmission of my o1 mustang gt if i dont change the computer?
if i put 4 10 gears on a stock transmissoin of an 01 mustang gt and dont tune the computer will they stillwork?

A: you will be fine your speed-o will be off. buy your self a programer thet will let you adj. the speed-o .( also your shift points)
Have fun. Race on the track not the street.

Q: How can I build a box for my 1990 mustang hatchback to hold 2 12’subwoofers and 2 10′ subs?
im trying to get a box for my 1990 hatch back mustang that will fit 2 10′ subs and 2 12′ subs. where can i get one???

A: try here for the boxes:

http://www.hifisoundconnection.com/Shop/Control/fp/tcat/76519/SFV/30046/set_num/2?gclid=COaO5NWewZYCFQv7agodnEB9zA

i went spareless (carry a can of compressed air/tire sealant) and used the spare tire cavity for my installation:

Q: how hard is it to get a 4.6 new edge mustang into the 10 sec quarter mile times?
how much work will i need to do to get there. i know there are cars faster than 10 seconds but ill be happy with 10 seconds.

A: Very hard, next to impossible. To begin with, to get this thing through in the 10s, you’re going to have to supercharge and do a lot of work. . This is a great engine. My guess is $25,000. Typical stock high horsepower 4.6l (i.e.) is going to clock something in the low 13s.

More likely is high 13s. It’s with stock tires, but in that range you’re not loosing much time.

But the 13s are a breakpoint. It’s way easier to get from the 16s to the 13s than it is to go from the the 13s to the 10s. In terms of driveability on the street, a car that moves into the 12s is iffy (some exceptions for lightweight bodies). A mustang that is capable of the 10s is almost certainly not going to work on the street.

Remember that the quarter is the result of attaining the highest average speed. It doesn’t do you a lot of good to 200 or 300 miles an hour if you putter down the quarter like a golf cart until the end. The faster you go fast

You can do the math on this fairly simply. Someone probably has a table on it. Just pulling the figures out of the air, if you are trying to go from 13.5 to 10.5, you’re looking at a roughly 25 percent improvement necessary in average top speed. Each increment gets harder because you start to push the laws of physics. On power. Application of power, engine ramp up.

You didn’t say which engine you have, i.e. what’s hung on the 4.6. There are usually some bolt-ons to up the performance level considerable. If you’ve got a factor engine tuned and built for more horsepower, you’re limited.
You also don’t say what your budget is.

But, if you’re knocking out low 30s with an engine rated at 360hp or 390hp (I don’t remember the specific numbers for all Mustangs, but anything under 400 get yourself ready to spend enough money to get yourself to about 800hp. That may not be enough. Stangs are raced enough that you should be able to find someone who races who’s taken it as far as possible.

You could talk to a local tuner who’s respected and can dyno the engine. It is possible that you can clear and cool the air intake a bit more, improve the exhaust, take off some of the power robbers and then have the tuner flash the chip

There’s usually some minor slack deliberately build in on performance engines. I don’t think you’re going to get close.

If you are a skilled mechanic, you could probably take your car to the next level for about $10,000-15,000. Minimum. You’re going to have to supercharge/two stage turbo. I’d prefer Rootes type, but I’m not current of performance builds. But you want something that makes the big air pump, pump a whole lost faster NOW. But a 10 second engine is not something an amateur can do. You need to view the engine as a whole, i.e. don’t look at it like, “if I change the headers, I’ll get 25 horsepower.” It doesn’t work like that. You’re designing a engine from the get go to produce maximum horsepower.

You need to rebuild your suspension. It won’t be a lot of fun on the street, but you need to alter the car’s launch chararacteristics. You’ll need to do some work on your injection system. I’d be reluctant to use a supercharger on a stock engine. Typical Turbs have greater clearances to handle the higher pressure. There are things you need to do in the lower end to strengthen it.

Unless you’re replacing the engine with one built for this, you need to replace most of the value train to match camshafts geared to drag racing. What you want to do is raise the redline by a couple thousand rpms and you don’t want to put a valve through those expensive new pistons hookedto high end rods. The easiest way and probable the best and cheapest is to buy replacement heads from Ford Racing.

You want it all balanced, carefully. There may be builders around you who’ve done this engine before who know which camshafts work best for this goal. If you buy to purpose parts (or engine) from Ford, you can save some time and labor.

Other things. You have to do something about the transmission and drive line or at least make sure they can carry as much horsepower as you are going to unload it. If you’re trying to do this with a manual transmission, good luck. You’re better off with an efficient auto that you either shift or set shift points to.

You will need to replace the entire exhause system. A car driven on the street needs mufflers, not on strip. You are probably going to dump most anti-pollution gear. This is a time consuming process.

Over the last 30 years, engine technology etc. has generally improved. The big advantage of Mustang 4.6 is efficient power and it can be ramped up to a higher PM redline without too much trouble. Look at some Mustang mags. Take a little of it with a grain of salt.

Apart from the engine, You want to go through the car and find ways to eliminate weight. If you’re racing at a sanctioned strip, ask for the specs. Pull the sears, scrap the spare. Go on a diet. Every ounce you shed increases the power to weight ratio. It’s not improbable you’re going to add weight in some areas (supercharger) and you may only break even. The goal is to do better.

Have you ever raced? Sounds like no, because the 10s in a street car with few exceptions are the holy grail. The skills needed go up as the times come down. When you’re in the 10 second range, the probability of blown engines, drive components etc. go up. Tires cost more. This is going to a lot faster than you think. Cost more too.

I did some of this, drove D-dragster, C stock and C gas. The C-gas came out of the frustrations of trying to race a street car without make it undrivable. It was at the edge of moving into B-Gas (these are old designations I think). C Gas then were regular bodies, manually shifted autos. No one used a modern body. Too heavy and too hard to alter

You have to really love the strip to drive a car that hits the 10s. Doing it with a small block, small displacement engine is tough. Good luck.
—
One answerer sounds like he’s had some practical experience. If you’re just squeaking in under 11. You need to have some consistent runs under 11 to be a solid 10er. But it’s an accomplishment to brag about. You’ve got have the car and drive it right. .

I’m looking at the mods and you’d be surprised how much harder it is to carve out a mid to low 10 consistently.

Q: car electrical help 95 mustang need help 10 points for good answer?
my wipers, clock, radio, and windows all stopped working at once i checked the fuses and switched in new ones but still the 4 things do not work, It’s a 95 mustang v6. I have power locks and those do work please help

A: Yea check both fuse panels.

Theres one under the drivers side dash, and the other is under the hood on the drivers side, near the battery.

You should really double or triple check the fuses.
I’ve missed fuses sometimes, or even did a quick fuse check and didnt even notice that it was blown!

Q: What are the chances I could buy a 2005 ford mustang for $10,000?
Im poor but this is my dream car. What are the chances?

A: You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here – carinsurance.yoll.net

Q: 10 reasons why a 1969 mustang fastback is a good car?
okay so for my English class i need to write ten reasons why my parent should by me a 1969 mustang fastback.. i need to be realistic and stuff so if you could help me out id mean alot!!

                                                                        -<3 hollistergirl

A: lets see, it’s popular and expensive, wait, that’s reasons not to get it, I could easily give you 8 more for not getting it.. it’s 38 years old… maybe it’s not such a good car after all. Did I mention the brakes and handling aren’t that great, 38 year old technology you know…

Q: what would gas mileage be with 4.10 gears on stock mustang gt 04?
im thinking about getting 4.10 gears on my mustang im pretty sure 3.27’s are on right now. What would be a top speed estimate and a gas mileage estimate be? and is it really worth it?

A: I have 4.10 gears in my 2000 gt right now. There is a lot more torque and your speedo will have to be reprogrammed because your speedo will say around 70mph when your doing 50 mph.Truthfully since the 4.6 is a high rpm motor unlike the old 5.0-i dont see why Ford just didnt put 3.73-4.10 in the 4.6 Gt’s from the factory.I am still getting about 15-17 mpg.I would never go back to the 3.27’s.I think you’ll be pleased with the results except you’ll be shifting alot quicker and alot more with in town driving.Remember to have the speedo recalibrated because if you dont, your speedo will be racking up extra miles in which you really didnt put on it.Good luck!!

Q: Should I buy the new 10 mustang or wait till next year?
so they can work out some of the bugs???

A: I would wait for the 2011 Mustang. The base model is getting a new (to the Mustang) 3.7L DOHC V6 with 315 HP. The GT model is getting the “coyote” 5.0L DOHC V8. with 400 HP and a 6 speed manual.

Q: How much can i sell my Fender Mustang Competition ? 10 POINTS BEST ANSWER !?
Its a Fender Mustang Competition from 1971/1972 in color Red with Cream Stripes.
Includes the Tremolo arm, and its 100% Working.
Its in GOOD condition. not perfect but good.

How much do you think i can sell it for ?

10 POINTS FOR BEST ANSWER !!
NVM, its 1973..

A: first of all have it appraised because if you get a lowball offer you will know better than to accept that offer, second then i would put it up for auction on e-bay and see what type of offers you might get just remember to set a minimum bid.

as far as an asking price maybe 700 to 1 thousand?ball park?

Q: is it possible to add an amp with two 10 inch subs to a stock 08 mustang headunit with stock speakers?
would it sound too bad, would it even be possible or do i need to replace the head unit and the speakers?

A: all you need is a line output converter.

this goes behind the headunit, and you splice into the speaker wires of the car. this will give you a preout that you can use to run the rca cables to your amp for the subwoofer.

no it won’t sound bad.

well you need a LOC and everything else necessary to run an amp such as power wires, remote wires, speaker wires etc.

oh yea and you can get one cheaply at walmart, or you can get one from some other car audio shop.

Q: why doesn’t the 05-10 mustang gt have a 150 mph speedometer?
and the 99-04 mustang gt’s have less hp than the new ones and they have a speedometer of 150 mph and the new ones from 05-09 have 300 hp and the new 2010 mustang gt have 315 or it should have a 160 mph speedometer

A: Because in the older mustangs they didnt have the chip which shuts them down. In the newer mustangs they put a chip in them to shut them down at a certain speed. So its pretty much impossible to get that fast with the chip in the engine.

A great and must read article: 2010 mustang for sale

Q: What car should I buy the 09 accord coupe or wait for the 2010 mustang gt?
I was planning on buying a 09 accord coupe but now since I saw the new 2010 ford mustang GT that’s going to come next year, I don’t know if I should get the accord or wait to get the 2010 mustang! My only CONCERN about the mustang is the GAS!!

A: I bet an 09 Accord will be worth more than a 2010 mustang.
Once Ford makes a million of them, you will be able to buy them
pretty cheap. The Accord is a good value!

Q: How do I open the fuel door on a 2010 Mustang GT?
I just bought a 2010 Mustang GT this week and I need to gas it up. I’m having a hard time finding the fuel door release and I left my owner’s manual at home (I’m visiting my parents for the weekend). ANy help would be appreciated!

A: Two things may be your issue – the 2010 Ford Mustang GT has a fuel door that is spring loaded. You need to push in on the door itself and it will spring open slightly. Second, it is outfitted with a capless fuel filler. You simply need to put the fuel pump nozzle in the normal fuel fill area and pump gas as usual.

Q: Will the value of older versions of Ford Mustangs decrease once the 2010 Mustang is released?
Would the value of the older versions of Ford Mustangs (Such as the 99-04 Mustangs) decrease once the new 2010 Ford Mustang has been released? I’m looking forward to purchasing a 99-04 Ford Mustang sometime in the future and I was just curious about my theory.

Help is truly appreciated!

A: Older models always depreciate when a new one is released. Remember also that they will continue to get older and depreciation always increases with age. Consider an 05-09?

Q: can the stock roof be changed in a 2010 mustang?
I’m planning to buy a 2010 mustang, however I’m not buying it with a glass roof because I don’t have the money.

Can the roof of the mustang be replaced by the glass roof easily? (By easily I mean as simple as changing the wheels on the car)

A: They are a company or too that sell the moon roof, for like 1500 and you install it or they install it for like 2 grand and warranty it to not leak, But I would just save up before I bought the stang and went ahead and get the moonroof option. Good Luck

Q: How much will the 2010 mustang cost in 2012?
I really like sport cars and I plan on buying a new 2010 manual mustang v6 premium loaded with the gps, right now on ford’s website it says it would be about $28,000 but im wondering if it will be cheaper in 2012. also do you know about how much insurance would cost for an 18yr old with that car. And if you have any other sport car suggestions please let me know.
thanks

A: $28.000 is about what it will be in 2012. The insurance for a 18 yr old male will be in the region of $2500 -$3000 per year. Slightly less for a female driver.

Q: What are the best upgrades 2010 Mustang?
What are the best upgrades that I can do to my 2010 Ford Mustang that would maximize HP. Keep in mind money as well because I don’t have an unlimited supply of it therefore I can’t just run out and Supercharge it. Thank you for all your help!

A: First, start out with the simple bolt-ons. I’m in the same boat you are in, except my Mustang is an ‘06 GT. You didn’t mention whether you have the V6 or V8, but you’ll have an easier time finding things for the V8, though support is still pretty decent for the V6.

First things first, cold air intake, there are 2 ways to go about this, a intake that does not require a tune (ie- K&N, AFE…. ect) and those that do require a tune (BBK, Steeda, Roush). Non tune intakes are cheaper, but make less hp, the ones that do need a tune make the most since they reprogram the ECU for optimum performance. If you can afford it, get an intake and a tuner combo. The tuner is handy for unlocking extra hp, also it helps you get the most power out of all the parts and modifications you make.

Exhaust is another one, be careful with noise regulations and emission regulations. It’s better to go with a complete system, though again check to make sure you can do this where you live. Also long tube headers make more hp over ’shorty’ headers.

Under drive pullies are also fairly easy and inexpensive modification you can make.

Q: Can Microsoft SYNC be installed on a 2010 mustang?
I purchased a 2010 v6 coupe mustang recently, however I did not purchase the premium package which included SYNC. I was wondering (if i call my dealer and ask) will they be able to install sync into my car. Is this possible or did i miss out on my chance?

A: Good News!
Yes , there are now aftermarket SYNC kits available for most Ford products.
Please call your local Ford dealership and they can arrange for the installation.
It will be a little more expensive than it was from the factory, but it is well worth it!

Q: Do you think Grabber Blue is a girly color on a 2010 Mustang?
I’m a guy and I just actually looked at a Grabber Blue 2010 Mustang and kinda’ liked it. Do you think it’s a girly color?

A: Grabber blue is a kick ass color from the heyday of muscle cars. It originated on the Boss and Mach 1 cars of the late 60’s. Not girly in any way, go for it!!!

Q: Can the Pony Package be added to a 2010 Mustang V6 after it’s been drove off of the lot?
I recently bought a 2010 V6 Mustang which is a nice car anyway, but since it’s the base model I can’t help but notice it looks a little plain compared to the GT’s I see. Please let me know if this can be done and a estimated price range if possible. Thanks for the answers!

A: you can modify your car to your taste but when its time to resale it will still be a base model no matter what you do-if you want a gt go trade that base model in on a gt.it will maintain its value much better and order all the performance options available making it much more valuable at resale time greg

Q: Does the 2010 Mustang and Camaro meet 2012 crash standards, and can you link me this information?
Just what the title says. I am curious if the 2010 Camaro and Mustang meet the upcoming 2012 crash standards. If someone knows and can link me this info, that would be awesome.

(Official link stuff, not saying your mechanic told your uncle )

A: You won’t find an official answer to this – the 2012 standards are proposed standards, not official, so it would just be speculation.

Q: What is your opinion on the 2010 Ford Mustang?
I have a 2005 mustang, and after seeing the 2010 Im happy I have an 05. I really like the front of the 2010 but the back of the mustang in my opinion is awful.

What do you think?

A: I agree, only if they merged the 2010 front and 2005 back, or a better back.

Q: When can i go look and possibly test drive a new 2010 ford mustang gt?
I have seen on the internet and heard from people that the release date of the 2010 ford mustang gts is april 18th. I thought that was very early. If anyone can give me a for sure on that date or if you have a for sure on another i would really appreciate it. THANKS

A: When the car gets to your local dealer I’m sure they will be happy to let you drive it. Bigger dealers will get the cars 1st so call around.

Q: How to set up phone on 2010 mustang?
There is a phone button on my mustang, its not a premium or a deluxe if that matters. But does anyone know how i can set up my phone to it?

A: salesman who you bought the car from should know, if not, that’s why you have a owner’s manuel

Q: Do any of the 2010 mustang convertibles come in a hardtop convertible?
I was going to buy a mustang and was wondering if they make a hardtop convertible.
Thanks!

A: No however I think they might have glass tops like the 2009. The 20-10’s are NiiiiiiCeeee!!!! If I could I’d get one but I’m savin up for the 50th anniversary. I have a 2004 40th anniversary mustang. I’m buyin brand new special ordering that pony! Yaaaaa!!! =)

Q: How much would a 2010 Mustang run me?
No detail really needed; how much would a 2010 mustang cost?

Stock and everything

A: The 2010 v6 starts at $21,395, and the v8 is $28,395. Wait until spring though, when the 2011 Mustangs come out. For around the same price, you will gain around 100 HP in either the v6 or the v8. This means that the 2011 V6 will have about the same power as a 2010 V8 (just 10HP less, it also has less torque, but it’s still very impressive). They will look the same as the 2010s. They will have 6 speed transmissions instead of 5 speeds, and get better gas mileage.
